i keep seeing 22M reported as their cap space, but im getting closer to 24M... Anyone know for sure.
They can go after Monroe/Gasol/Asik/Lopez/ Jordan etc to fill in at the 5, then sign Middleton for 10-12M.
MCW / Ennis / Bayless
Middleton / Mayo
Giannis / Dudley
Parker / Henson / Plumlee
Lopez / Zaza / Plumlee
Then in 2016 they can let Bayless, Mayo, Dudley, and Zaza walk and have the following squad with 40M+ in Cap Space...WOW
MCW / Ennis
Middleton
Giannis
Parker
(Lopez/Gasol/Jordan/Etc)
They will also have RFA rights on Plumlee and Henson if they want to keep either or Sign and Trade
My understanding is that Milwaukee will have 22 - 24 million in cap space once they dump Butler and Williams - before they resign Middleton. So the question is - will they swing for the fences? Will they make a max offer for DeAndre Jordan or Marc Gasol? Lopez and Monroe would be bad fits, because Milwaukee wants to be a quality defensive team. They need a strong defensive anchor - playing Parker and Giannis at the forwards.
I agree, but I was talking about Robin Lopez, not Brook. I think Jordan stays with Clips, but he aint going to Milwaukee. Gasol stays with Griz or he goes to Bulls, NYK, etc.
I think Lopez would be perfect for them for a multitude of reasons:
1) He is a tall, long (like everyone else on that team) defender
2) He is 27
3) He would not require the Max and then allow them to be big players in 2016
They also have their 2015 1st (Tyus, Looney, Portis, etc.) as an asset. Id look to send MCW to Denver to get Lawson and really give them an identity with their pg and C being 27 year old tone-setters with the 3 kids on the wings. Very Long, fast, and dynamic with room to grow and a ton of cap space.
