My fandom goes back to the mid-80's and I have absolutely loved the teams under Cotton, the Barkley era, and of course the Nash/Amare/Matrix years. So close and so heart breaking. My wife wouldn't let me name my first son Trey Rex (T-Rex), so I got dibbs on another child's name and named him Kyle Nash (and I call him KJ).

I'll try to contribute a bit every now and then.

Welcome mate!

Hi guys! I found this forum on '07 '08 i cant remember, been lurking for years til i finally signed up on 2010. But then college happened and i wasnt able to be active here as much. Five years and an engineering degree later and my lurkation is finally over.

I was a suns fan since i was a kid, which wasnt too long ago, around the '05 season. So yeah im one of the younger generation suns fans around these parts. Doesnt make the heartaches of the late 00's less awful tho. Looking forward to contributing to this board.

I have a friend who knows somebody that works for RealGM and I heard through the grapevine that Mods get a handsome bonus for every new poster who signs up.

I wondered the back story about NY. I'm probably about the same age as you, because when I became an NFL fan the Cards were not in Phx yet, so I watched Fouts as a kid and loved the high powered offense.....and naturally between them and the Suns, I love watching great offense. Defense is of course nice to have too.

I was a huge Chargers fan back in the day when they had Fouts, Winslow, Benershka(sp), Muncie, Jefferson, and the rest. I would fake a cold to watch them on Sunday. It was the only way to get out of church. I had a Fouts jersey when I was little. So are you 45?

No, I'm not THAT old.

Lemme guess, 37/38...

Hey everyone. I signed up a while ago and started posting, but life got in the way a bit and I haven't logged in for a while. Very interested in the Suns off-season so I hope to be around more often.

Really happy to see Barbosa get a ring a few hours ago.

Long time lurker. Huge Suns fan. Thought about signing up a while back but didn't think I'd add much. However got a sign. In the news feed not only did one of my fav current players (granger) opted in to play with Suns next season but a man I depised (Duncan) lost 20 million thru fraud...karma really...so here goes- look forward to a lot of trade for Joakim Noah post

I like mcd. That trade for Bledsoe was a thing ofbeauty especially since Dudley ended up a buck. But the rest of the guys he has brought in I'm not overly impressed by. don't like knight Wright or isiah Thomas. It killed me when tragic left....but what could you do. I think he's draftings been great. Picked a solid coach made good deals even with Bledsoe... I'm sure some gm would have just thrown a max at him. ..this offseason will be telling In his ability... no idea what he'll do but I feel we won't stay pat.

What Engineering Degree you got man? I'm 3rd year into my Civil and Structural Engineering Degree. Unfortunately the job prospects right now in Australia are pretty bleak. Gotta hope for the best though.

I just finished my degree on Electronics Engineering. Really? Im actually looking at the oil and gas industry there in australia, few friends of mine who work there told me it could be good. Life as a fresh grad is kinda sucky trying to decide what best to do next.

I'm in West Australia and it's pretty terrible at the moment, especially in the oil and gas industry. Mining boom is down at the moment here, which means less demand for engineers. Heaps of fresh grads that cant find nothing. Way too many graduate engineers, with not enough jobs. However if you got connections within the industry you might find it okay.

That's always been the case for engineers hasn't it? The mining boom opened up a lot of new jobs but historically, Australia has never had a big infrastructure sector so engineering grads looking for jobs or internships have always had a hard time.

Pretty much. Although its historically bad currently, hopefully things will start looking brighter soon enough.

I chose Civil and Structural because out of all the evils, it's probably the lesser of the evils due to the fact that, unlike other streams such as Chemical and Mechanical, there's alot of Civil jobs that are not directly related to the mining climate. Jobs in Main Roads Authorities and PTA, Local Councils and Government etc..

We shall see if that decision pays off though.

Howdy gangstas!

Been around for a few years but been MIA for a good chunk of this year. Missed being on here and bein involved in the conversations on here . Depression sucks . But I'm starting to feel better and I wanna come home! With offseason in full swing and the draft tomorrow ( I think?), no better time to come back than now!

Return to Phoenix Suns
