I was no great fan of this pick, mostly for broader reasons like drafting a 3rd straight **** stretch 4 in the top 10 and passing up a player my eyes told me was good for sure in Winslow. Not necessarily because I thought Frank was some bum of a player, because it's not like I've got my finger on the pulse of College BB these days.
that being said, I think Frank's development over his years at Wisconsin at least bears mentioning and keeping in mind when thinking about his potential on this team. He greatly improved his physicality (which, frosh Frank must've been...woof), and got some defensive fundamentals down to mitigate the limitations he still had, particularly in the post. He got a solid jumpshot down, and discovered where to get consistent points within a very methodical and deliberate offense. I think Zeller has more post game than what he's shown in the pros, but Frank's post game at Wisconsin blows him out of the water. You can at least throw Frank down there in the NBA and let him inside-out the offense like Al does on his best days. He is much more stout on his feet than Zeller. given his history of development, I think now that you've drafted him in the top 10, you owe him the chance to continue to develop. he definitely seems like a smart, self-aware guy.
