If he trades them for a player of greater need then I have no problem.
No reason to get into repeater tax this year in order to retain Bird and Chalmers. The clock restarts next year and we can go well into the luxury tax without paying triple. It just comes down to smart business.
As a businessman I understand financial responsibility but as a Miami Heat fan I can't accept dumping bird and Rio for tax reasons.
Dumping them makes us a worse team and wastes another year of Wade's career (and every other Heat player). I want us to contend for the East which we can and should. If we don't upgrade on Rio and Bird I want them in.
Completely agree. I don't see why I as a Miami Heat fan should be happy with seeing a worse team on the floor because it's "smart business" for the owner. I don't care about the owner's money, period. He is a billionaire. I want him to spend whatever he needs to to put a good product on the floor.
