That makes a lot more sense now. I can imagine he is promised Mo + Lance role with a PnR offense, having a chance to lead the team to the playoffs. He might then get a better long contract after this year. Hornets probably the only team that offers this one year redemption option, his value is really quite low now I imagine after this crap year in LA.
