He's a beast, no doubt but I don't think he has the pedigree of either Capela or Dekker.

but he has long reach and high motor (he's always active)

Dekker back injury is already scaring me

Capela has already cracked the rotation and will a primary backup. Harrell will be behind both Jones/Motiejunas regardless of his motor.

A sore back for Dekker is no big deal.

he just play spot min
in the playoff as soon as Dallas put in Amare
McHale has to sub him out because he doesn't have enough muscle to defend the post
if you don't more than 10 mpg i don't consider that is in the rotation

I like both of them a lot but we're in win-now mode and I think these are our pieces to win a championship. I could be convinced to take out Jones though, as I'm much higher on DMo.

You guys do realize Dekker is actually taller than Harrell right? And Dekker can shoot and handle.

Dekker and Capela are easily better prospects than Harrell although I do love his energy and aggression.

no update for more than 2 weeks
first hear he may need surgery
then say it is okay for him to rest
back injury is never a good thing
we know tmac history
we know parsons has back problem
we know dmo has back problem last season too
then boom he's out of the season

Yeah, back injuries are always concerning. Even if it is minor there is always a concern.

That's why I thought that Jones had more trade value than Motiejunas back when we thought one would be needed for a big trade.

Height is not overrated... Yeah wingspan etc.. but you still need to be tall in the NBA.

I just think Dekker is a vastly superior prospect and it's wise to keep your best assets, regardless. I'm not worried about his back at all.

I'm talking about a player with no offensive game, undersized and works strictly on hustle versus a taller guy, with a ton of game and the potential to be a PF in the NBA. I don't think it's even close.


In this exercise, I think you keep your 8 most valuable assets and both Capela and Dekker are two of those.

so if there is one this season
we don't have to worry about Dekker and Harrell
and it is also before free agent signing
so we don't have to worry about Brewer and Beverley
then we may not have the pieces to trade for Lawson
