Russell/Clarkson

Do Lakers start Russell at the 1 or Clarkson? The Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili comparison does seem similiar.

I say Russell will be slotted as PG, but it won't matter too much IMO since both of them will start and they'll both play interchangeable roles.

Not sure. At the moment i would expect them to start Russell at the 1 and Clarkson at the 2 but it would not be surprising for those roles to change while on the floor. Either way, the Lakers can try any type of offense they want but with the players on the floor this is going to be primarily an ISO team.

Players who have the superstar potential should be starting... Russell is the best passing PG coming out of college since Magic. his passes I have seen look amazingly smooth and crisp I don't think you can mess with a great talent coming off the bench he needs every confidence to become the next franchise player.

There are two different train of thought. The first is to play DLo at SG to let him ease into the NBA. Let Clarkson, the more seasoned of the two carry the load at PG. The second thought is to play DLo at PG and throw him into the fire. IMO the kid has enough fire to play him at PG. From everything Ive read, nothing can shake this kids confidence. Its not like the lakers are making a serious run so let him run the PG and let him make all his mistakes over the next couple of years.

Does it really matter? They're both just gonna bring the ball up the court and pass it to Kobe anyways.

Start them together to make sure Kobe plays at 3. :D

It seems that DLo is the better passer so let him handle the point. If it doesn't work out well Clarkson can take over the point guard duties anytime.

Clarkson will play the second guard slot.

very curious to see how Russell does against NBA pace and athleticism. (there's no question about his quick release and range.)

Lets hope the Summer league for Russell works like when teachers would give you a practice test before the real one and everyone would fail cause they weren't prepared but then studied really hard after that

Russell might be a better fit with the scorers on your team. I hope Clarkson doesn't get lost in the shuffle with all the volume scorers on the team, because that kid can go.

Read Rick Pitinos article abou D'Angelo Russell... And don't even make me laugh.. Marshall? He was always turning the ball over... You seem to have a agenda against Russell...

I don't think Russell is tall enough to play SG. He's listed as 6"3.25 without shoes so I think he's more of a 6"4.

A 6"4 SG is fine if you're an athletic freak like Dwyane Wade. But hey what do I know

True. I, myself, don't believe in positions anymore. I accepted the position-less basketball.
