Sounds like sugarcoating to me. His good knuckler wasn't there today and it cost him multiple times for 5 runs.
lol I think we'll just agree to disagree here. Sure, Dickey didn't have his dominant knuckler, but he kept us in the game despite being victimized by some other factors outside his control. He also went the distance and kept the pen out of it. We had a chance to make a run and unfortunately just couldn't solve Tanaka.
If this is what is considered an awesome start for Dickey, the standards have become quite low indeed.
