Key things for a new arena:
1. Skywalks - Definitely need to connect everything with heated walkways. Garage; the plaza; maybe even an indoor shopping mall. It would actually be a great idea to have a strip of shops/restaurants/bars that people can walk through between the garage/plaza and the arena. Anywhere to keep people inside, warm, and wanting to be there in the dead of winter.
2. I could care less about what kind of beer is served at the arena as I don't drink, but I understand that this matters to a lot of folks so I think having good quality stuff is always a good idea.
3. Good restaurant options with a variety of different kinds of cuisine would be nice. I don't care if they have a Kopps or a Sobelmans or an AJ Bombers. I just want good quality and good variety. I really like what Miller Park has done - they have the standard concessions at pretty much every exit point from the seating area, but they also have these really unique options peppered all over. I remember the first time I saw the carving station with freshly smoked beef brisket, and it blew my mind.
4. They should have a space to host seating for other major sporting events. It would be cool if they utilized the plaza on non-Bucks Sundays for Packers games, or for World Cup matches in the summer, etc - a place for tailgating, some big screens for people to watch, lots of removable seating. You could even have outdoor movie showings at night as well. That would be outstanding.
5. Connecting the streetcar is an obvious must.
6. Last, but not least, please don't price out average consumers. That would really piss me off.
