He just not a good player.

Carmelo better enjoy that money because there is no way in hell they have any shot in the next two years. They need multiple pieces.
Not surprising buy eye opening at just how Mish mash that roster is. I mean of course there are Knick fans who think playoffs but even trying to view that team in a positive light is tough.tmorgan wrote:zeebneeb wrote:The Knicks team is just **** brutal. Holy hell. And you're surprised by this?
1 pseudo-superstar that doesn't make his teammates better
1 intriguing but raw as hell rookie
1 goofy looking big that's serviceable but not much on offense
1 wing that's a solid 3 & D guy but not much more
1 PG that's just about the worst defender in the league
and a bench of meh? That doesn't scream playoffs to you?

I don't even know how to respond to that without sounding like a prick.

Drummond is a better rebounder but Whiteside is ahead of him defensively. He doesn't score as well but he also shoots better than 39% from the free throw line. Drummond has more upside and I'd never make the swap but I'd go so far as to say that if we had Whiteside and they had Drummond we might be saying the same thing. I don't know how absurd a notion it really is.

I think Whiteside and Drummond are almost on par as rebounding is concerned. Statistically, Whiteside outperformed Andre as a rebounder last season. Whiteside averaged 10 boards in 23 minutes, which translates to 15.2 in 36mpg and a TRB of 25.4. While Drummond averaged 13.5 in 30 minutes, 15.9 PER36 and a TRB of 24. Whiteside is also a much better shotblocker and defender. Drummond has more trade value because he is younger but HW is probably the more impactful player at this stage.
Of course. Much better. *sigh*princeofpalace wrote:Snakebites wrote:zeebneeb wrote:I like some of Miamis team but Heat fans are just nuts. No other way to put it. It would seem alot of them would take Whiteside over Drummond and he'll make the all star team this year over Drummond.
