It's got nothing to do with the owner. He puts some NBA 'experts' in charge and would have had advisors with experience in NBA business the whole way.

This is a man who literally tried to teach NBA players how to dribble better. He doesn't use the internet. He doesn't even have a mobile phone.
A well-informed and intellectually curious NBA owner is not someone who pays Billy King to build his team.
