Hopefully that changes over the next couple of months. Oubre should at least be playing in front of Neal.

Wouldn't bank on in he's a Rookie and would cost us games, atleast Neal has a 3 pointer.

What a shame we don't have a D-League team, Dallas just sent Justin Anderson down because he wasn't playing.

Should have one soon.

Finally got done watching the game. Major props to the bench and to Randy for leaving them in so long.

Porter is quickly becoming my favorite player on the team.

Wall needs to get his head out of his ass. His ORTG is 98 right now.

Porter was fantastic. The guy just makes winning plays. He has become a menace in the passing lanes. He is good for 2 or 3 steals a night now.

Beal sucked. I'm starting to have my doubts on whether we should match him. He's a nice, reliable starter, but not much more than that. I really don't think he's going to pan out to be the star that we hope him to be. It's really not that hard to find a SG who can average 18 points per game with an ORtg of 101. Beal is never going to be consistent until he learns how to get to the free throw line. Speaking of which, Beal has got to be the most un-clutch FT shooter in the league among shooting guards. Late in games when Beal is sent to the line, it's a sure thing that he's going to miss the first free throw. He does it every time. I feel much better when Wall is at the line in clutch situations.

+1 on OP. He just makes winning plays over and over again.

I hope you're wrong on Beal. Vs DET there is no question he wasn't very good. And for a supposedly
elite shooter, he's not very good at FTs. But first game back yada yada. We'll need him at the level
he started the season off at during this upcoming stretch. We really need to win at least 3/4 of the
upcoming games to vault over the logjam in the standings and reassert ourselves as one of the top
3-4 teams in the east.

I wonder if Tat/Nene saw our Wiz Big Man an embarrassment thread a la Incredibly sucky Juan Dixon.
First non-dubdub game for Drummond this year. Nene looking frisky and mostly taking good shots.
The long dribbling sequence was okay since he seemed to survey the court in the process to
insure he wasn't being defended.

Our bad losses against BOS/ATL/OKC are when Wall played like crap. I'm pretty confident that
won't be a season long trend. Tat is still adjusting to slightly fewer touches but will get more
as teams begin to realize they need to defend the perimeter against us.

Sessions is pretty remarkable in his ability to draw fouls. Still doesn't finish at the rim but
makes up for it by getting to the stripe and putting teams in the penalty. Dudley is a really
heady player like a non-athletic version of OP. Speaking of which, tough challenge coming
up for OP vs Paul George. If he can do a decent job on PG, we should beat Indy.

You're getting worked up over an extremely small sample size. That number is skewed based on the team sucking in general, and the fact that he contributed to the team's fits with turnovers (Numbers that are well above his career average, even though his usage has only increased 3.5% above his career average).

He might not be getting to the line, but he has more than shored up his shot selection (excluding last game). Less than 20% of his jumpers have been long two's. That's nearly a thirteen percent decrease in his career average, and he's shooting those shots above 40% now.

Again, small sample, but by all accounts, Beal has been doing the things that were expected of him. Without Beal, the team would be 3-7 right now.

I recognize that it's a small sample size. That's why I haven't said we should start shopping him now. But if, by February, he still has an ORtg of 102, then it'll be time to consider moving him assuming we could get decent value in return.

And I love how everyone tells me not to panic about his high turnover rate because of the small sample size, but nobody attributes his uncharacteristically high 3P% and 2P% to a small sample size.

The one area where I feel Beal has improved quite a bit is his shot selection. He has cut out most of the long 2's in favor of shots at the rim. That is undoubtedly a positive trend.

You're a long range planner. You think very strategically about cap issues, nate33. I think you believe Beal will command more than his actual production is worth.

I would also try and factor in team chemistry with BB, continuity, defensive production, and Bradley's character. Subtract for projected nonavailability due to injury.

Will Barton, Shabazz Muhammad, Jordan Adams. Them plus a pick would be potential trade packages.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Its possible that Porter ends up being a better and more valuable all around player then Beal, but I still like both.

As I said before though, you don't max out Beal until you see him play a full season at an All-Star level. Right now he is definitely not a max player. But, I'm still hopeful he'll get his game going again.

Our schedule has been pretty weird too. Its like we'll go a week without playing then play 3 games in 4 nights. I figure by January things will stabilize and we'll see our stars play better.

One thing that's not being taken into account--playoffs. Brad has routinely been available for playoffs and plays better there. Its frustrating having him be inconsistent in the regular season both in terms of health and play, but post season success has greater weight.
