Porter was fantastic. The guy just makes winning plays. He has become a menace in the passing lanes. He is good for 2 or 3 steals a night now.
Beal sucked. I'm starting to have my doubts on whether we should match him. He's a nice, reliable starter, but not much more than that. I really don't think he's going to pan out to be the star that we hope him to be. It's really not that hard to find a SG who can average 18 points per game with an ORtg of 101. Beal is never going to be consistent until he learns how to get to the free throw line. Speaking of which, Beal has got to be the most un-clutch FT shooter in the league among shooting guards. Late in games when Beal is sent to the line, it's a sure thing that he's going to miss the first free throw. He does it every time. I feel much better when Wall is at the line in clutch situations.
+1 on OP. He just makes winning plays over and over again.
I hope you're wrong on Beal. Vs DET there is no question he wasn't very good. And for a supposedly
elite shooter, he's not very good at FTs. But first game back yada yada. We'll need him at the level
he started the season off at during this upcoming stretch. We really need to win at least 3/4 of the
upcoming games to vault over the logjam in the standings and reassert ourselves as one of the top
3-4 teams in the east.
I wonder if Tat/Nene saw our Wiz Big Man an embarrassment thread a la Incredibly sucky Juan Dixon.
First non-dubdub game for Drummond this year. Nene looking frisky and mostly taking good shots.
The long dribbling sequence was okay since he seemed to survey the court in the process to
insure he wasn't being defended.
Our bad losses against BOS/ATL/OKC are when Wall played like crap. I'm pretty confident that
won't be a season long trend. Tat is still adjusting to slightly fewer touches but will get more
as teams begin to realize they need to defend the perimeter against us.
Sessions is pretty remarkable in his ability to draw fouls. Still doesn't finish at the rim but
makes up for it by getting to the stripe and putting teams in the penalty. Dudley is a really
heady player like a non-athletic version of OP. Speaking of which, tough challenge coming
up for OP vs Paul George. If he can do a decent job on PG, we should beat Indy.
