There is a drop off after Simmons, Ingram, Dunn. dont be shocked if someone sees something in Murray and takes him 3 or 4 and he becomes a stud. Simmons, Ingram and Dunn are locks for me. I think all 3 have All Star written all over them.
If Philly have picks 2 and 4 and say we had the first overall would you trade the first overall for 2 and 4? (2 being Ingram most likely and then Bender or something?)
WOW! putting me on the spot. That's a good question. I'm not really ready to give a definitive answer on that yet. I need to see more Simmons and Ingram before I'm comfortable with my answer. Few thoughts on that idea though...
#1- If Simmons was an absolute stud, we'd have to deal with him in our division for years. that could come back to haunt us.
#2- As of today I'd probably do that deal, only because I think I could draft both Ingram & Dunn 2 & 4. But this is an organic growth model that is going to take some more time. Danny would have to shift gears a bit. Right now the building is leaning towards more of a contend soon approach. Interesting
#3- Could we package #2 & #4 with Amir and others for Anthony Davis? Hypothetically, if New Orleans had #3, we could give them 2 and 4. Has there ever been a team with THREE top five selections? And would New Orleans be intrigued to move Davis for the opportunity to go complete overhaul? Probably not, but worth mentioning.
