Nope. Embiid has a chance to have a very healthy long career. I do understand those who say he won't stay healthy though. We shall see. If he's healthy he is the best big man prospect since Duncan.
Embiid is only a thing to the unknowledgeable or to 6er fans grasping for meaning to a horrific season.
All evidence says that Embiid cannot stay healthy. He picked up basketball as a Sophomore in HS. As a Senior in HS he battled back issues. As a freshman at KU he missed time due to knee issues and a broken back.
He has had 2 foot surgeries all before playing a minute on an NBA court. Further, Embiid spent much of his first year of rehab boozing and eating junk food and not wearing his boot per Sports Illustrated.
For anyone to say Embiid has a chance to have a long healthy career reminds me of the dumb and dumber movie line "so you say there is a chance".
There is zero evidence that says Embiid can stay healthy for 30 games, much less 80. I pity the 6er fans searching for answers, but they should look elsewhere.
