Nets us a young asset and the tank rolls on.
I feel like we have to move Chandler. His effort was pretty pathetic vs. Boston. I can't imagine he's happy in a tanking scenario right now.
I'd even move him for Joakim Noah at this point.

I know he's out. He's an expiring contract that wouldn't take minutes from our young guys. I said I'd even move him for Noah because he's not giving full effort on the defensive end and even Isaiah Thomas is beating him around the basket.
Cool snarky response though.

If you all think our team is stupid, from what I read about Oubre, he has one of the lowest IQ's ever. When he interviewed with teams at the combine, he did a very poor job answering basketball X's and O's type questions.

I would still inquire to Jazz... since Lyles is likely to be their off-the-bench big man once Favors comes back.
“The first thing I do every morning is check the standings,” McDonough said. “And somehow were still [4½ games] out with a half a season to go. So we’re not waving the white flag. The main decision for us over the next five weeks between now and the trade deadline is, which way do we want to go? We’re still weighing both sides. Do we want to try to add and make a run at the playoffs? Or do we want to look longer term and maybe add a few more young guys to build with our young core?
“We’re excited about that. I guess that’s one of the silver linings any time you have injuries like this. You hate to see Eric Bledsoe out for the year, but that creates an opening for Devin Booker. Those are some organization decisions we’re having.”
He and Ainge talk weekly, according to McDonough. “We worked together for a number of years and those guys have become some of my best friends,” McDonough said. “Sometimes the calls are trade-related, sometimes the calls are social. I have a great relationship with those guys.

I'm not expecting him to be totally honest and say something like: "we're awful, I want to trade everyone, and I hope we lose every game the rest of the year" but to bring up the word playoffs with how this team has played is insulting to the intelligence of the fans who are still watching this crap. And it's not like those words are tricking other front offices into thinking the suns are anything other than what they are: a crappy crappy team.
I wish he would just stick to cliche answers like "we trying to get better" and we're going to explore all opportunities to improve our team long term.
I actually wish the interviewer would have asked McD what changed from when he first got here and preached a patient and correct rebuild. Why now is it more important to chase a bottom seed playoff birth than to worry about the long term chances?
