Early on I would have banked on the FO wanting to keep him, I'm not so sure now.

Maybe the most overrated kid in the league IMO
Batum without range/ability to see the floor
He wasn't even playing at RPM last I checked
You want him for who?

He's only 21. Not many players at that age have developed a consistent jumper. When/If he does, everyone will have a much different take on him. Everything else you want is there.
Who do I want him for? I'd take him in a Cousins package most definitely.

Rondo was Vlade's guy. I expect he stays put unless Rondo tells Vlade he won't fit post Karl.

Difference of opinion I guess. If I had one player to take for free from the Bucks it would be Middleton like SKF. SG is a position of need and advanced stats favor him. But it's opinion

**** that I'd rather struggle with him than see him in the playoffs taking over. Let's give it one more season with a competent coach.
And there's a lot of terrible DMC trades in here just horrible.

The fact that there are a number of Kings fans that don't understand this logic just baffles my mind. I blame NBA2K.

I'm sure they understand it... But every person has a number. In this case it's how many years can a fan talk himself/herself into the "one more coach for Cousins" pep talk.

When one of those coaches doesn't suck

Right. I've posted on that very topic today. Even so we all have different tipping points. DMC has been here now, what, six years? To say fans didn't get that logic is untrue. In year six, pro trading Cousins is a justifiable take.

Except it isn't. The best, most proven way to win in this league is to find at least one star, use a coach to build a system (on both ends) around them, then fill the team with the right kind of support players. That's it. Sounds simple but the talented star is the hardest part. In a small market, doubly so.
We've sucked for years because we've failed at every other part. When fans say we should start over, it's literally a crap shoot that we'll get lucky in that way, especially with our draft pick obligations. It's twice as stupid because due to the jerkoff maloofs and then global 3.0 Vivek, we haven't ever done the intelligent thing of trying to build a system that fit cuz and co rather than the whims of coaches and owners.
5 years may seem like a long time but we'd likely be committing to that again with a rebuild and have no guarantee we'd get another cuz level talent.

I hate to break it to you but the Kings are still in rebuild mode, and if you think they're not go look up the last time they won over 30 games.
So basically you're saying you can't trade Cousins because you need a Star to win. Needing a Star to win, ok fair point. Solution: trade Cousins for a Star or future Star? I know I know , but its risky to trade for a young player and hope he develops, plus nothings guaranteed, maybe he never develops? That's why we all love sports.

Love the fit of KAT/WCS. I know you guys love him too. Just seeing what could possibly work. Minny needs to consolidate a couple of guys into someone who is a better fit.
