Seriously, it should go to Kemba. 20PPG on a team at .500, carried team thru injuries, career best in TS%.

Other candidates:

Kyrie Irving - missed half the season, Kemba has better stats across the board, except FG%.
Reggie Jackson - Detroit already has Drummond. Does Detriot deserve 2 All-stars while Charlotte gets 0? Reggie and Kemba have similar stats. Kemba with more points, rebounds, steals; Jackson with more assists, better FG%.
Pao Gasol - 17/11, would give Bulls a representative in lieu of Butler.
Nik Vucevic - 17/9, hard to make a case for Nik over Gasol, especially with Magic struggling so badly recently.
Nic Batum - the toe injury killed his chances, dropped his PPG and FG% down. Kemba more deserving so far.
Hassan Whiteside - 12/11/4, do the Heat deserve 3 All-Stars? Hard to argue his case when Heat are typically better with him off floor.

I don't agree with anyone from Bucks, Nets or Sixers getting in due to record. Simply not good enough. That rules out Giannis, Monroe, Middleton, and Lopez.

i think it would be either Kemba or Pau…Detroits has had Drummond in already..
Pau/Kemba 51/49

Man that's frustrating, gotta keep the Chicago market involved.

Pau would have been 2nd on my list. At least it wasn't Kyrie or Reggie Jackson. I might have lost it in that case.

i could see Reggie has a slight chance… if they chose Kyrie, it would be an embarrassment for the league

I don't agree with team records dictating, or even being a factor in, deciding who should be an All Star.

Team records are what the playoffs are for.

So you think Brook Lopez should be in the All-Star game?

Nope, because he's a douche and I hate his game.

Not because the Nets record sucks though.

Certainly you have to take into consideration that guys on bad teams are putting up empty stats on bad teams, while some guys on good teams are sacrificing stats for the overall good of the team.

wow, looks like the Hawks are in yard sale mode… this alone will enhance Hornets change to be in the playoff…. the bulls are slumping big… the hornets should seriously consider home court advantage, no more injuries...

The Sixers and Lakers are both bad teams and no one on them are playing All Star ball so no one deserves to go.

Warriors are the best team in the league. Doesn't mean someone like Igiodala should go.

Aldridge (of course Lillard has a better claim to that spot based on stats, but I was using a more extreme example).

Anyway, I get what you are saying, to a point. For example, I thought it was stupid to have Korver on the AS team last year, or years when the Pistons had 4 or when the Bulls back in the day used to drag guys like BJ Armstrong to the ASG. Then again, I don't think that it should just be about stats either. Maybe you put guys in tiers and when they are close you go with the guy doing it on a winning team.

Lopez, Monroe, Pau and Vucevic were all similar in numbers, so I think its fair that Gasol got the nod over the others for doing it on the better team.

Nice piece from ATT about Charlotte's injuries compared to the league.

Is Lamar the guy Haralabob mentions in the new Bill Simmons Podcast? They are talking about I believe the sketchy Milwaukee/Philadelphia playoff series. They mention how it would never be shown and Haralabob says a guy from Europe sent him the tapes. I'm pretty sure Lamar tweeted him about them at some point.

I should prob just tweet him this, but if it's him thAts pretty damn awesome.

the Suns organization is a joke... If I were Earl Watson, I would send him to the locker room right away no matter what...
