But only two to catch Hakeem in quadruple doubles. I remember years ago on the JSOnline board we were discussing where the next quad would come from, and I think the consensus pick was Kirilenko. If I had to make a morning line in the Quadruple Double Sweepstakes today, it would look like this:

    Anthony Davis 5/2
    Giannis 4/1
    LeBron 6/1
    DeAndre Jordan 10/1
    All others 8/5

Think you're being kind to DeAndre and ignoring Paul George. It's important to get this right.

I'd add Kristaps and maybe Towns to the list. Then I'd ask you for your Embiid odds and put $100 on it.

It's Marcus Smart, obviously.
Although MCW has been close too, only 3 rebounds and a steal short.

Since January 1, Giannis leads the Bucks in +/- at +3.3 pts/100. They're -15.3 pts/100 when he's been on the bench.

You would have to throw Russell Westbrook in there as well. He has the potential, but its low for a quad.

It's probably going to be a big (3/4/5) that can pass. 10 steals is significantly more difficult to achieve than 10 blocks. Do turnovers count though? If so, Brandon Knight has to have pretty good odds.

Giannis is a steady jump shot away from being a top 10 player in the NBA. At 21 years old, that is pretty impressive!

I agree that it's more likely to come with blocks than with steals. Alvin Robertson did it with steals (not when he was with the Bucks), but he must have found an opposing guard with easily pickable pockets that night.

Maybe we need a category for a quad that includes turnovers. I propose quadrOOPle double.

Giannis has been our best defender all year. Glad the stats show that and great to see that he ranks well league wide.

There is a general consensus the last few weeks here in Greece where in many articles and in their comments, journalists and fans of Giannis are agreeing that for the best of the future of NT and Giannis himself would have been a break from his national duties and a proper practice on his shot for a whole Summer. This wasn't happening in the previous summers and I don't know if it will lead to an official decision from Giannis part for the pre-olympics.

In the past when a crucial member of the team announced or declined to participate in a tournament with our NT it was followed with a very bad reaction from the greeks in most cases like Coufos for example. In Giannis case though it seems that the road is wide open no matter what he chooses in the end. Everybody loves him and will understand no matter what.

It seems that right now the main obstacle for a Giannis break in the summer is Giannis himself who has already said in many interviews that he will always want to play with the NT no matter the circumstances. The Olympics is a huge deal for everyone anyway though and even more for a rising young star and future leader of the team like Giannis.

I guess that after the end of the season Giannis will speak with Kidd and Katsikaris and he will make his final decision.
As things stand now Giannis is available for the pre-Olympics and Katsikaris will build the roster around him.
We'll see..

thanks for this, I always appreciate you bringing back how the Greek media is treating Giannis. I really think he should take this summer off and just shoot.

But I won't blame him for picking the NT

Did Kidd say 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P5aydg3PHSI That seems low. Should I be concerned?

And let's say that we manage to qualify. Who will give up his place for Giannis then my greek vazelos fan :P ? I'm not saying that any of the SFs/PFs even has half of Giannis talent but I'm just talking about ethical reasons. I mean let's say that Papapetrou will go and train with the rest NT for the pre-Olympics and then he also has some good minutes in the three games that will give us the ticket. How would you ask him to leave after that? It could cause some trouble in the locker room too. I think something similar happened for Spanoulis last year who joined a bit later the squad but he was injured and he didn't miss any official games like the pre-Olympics and in the end he was the veteran leader of the team. If Katsikaris can manage that for Giannis though I'm in.

PS: Congraz for your huge win yesterday. Olympiakos is playing at Barcelona tonight. Can't wait! :D

2 more airballs last night.
1 from mid range and one from the FT(!) line......
I don't think he is making 500 shots per day like he said. Impossible.
He needs a tone of work in shooting.
And the bucks MUST hire a specialist to work with him.
