For contrast all of my friends have been married for 10-30 years and have NEVER cheated on their wives. Or maybe they have, but I dont know because they aren't stupid enough to tell me.

I only say that because young people may read your post and think that having a monogamous relationship is impossible. It happens all the time.

Don't be so sure. Maybe your friends just don't have the options to and/or maybe they don't do or talk about it around you because you seem like a snitch. Note: My pals are all late 20s early 30s, so they're still moderately handsome. I think cheating with random chicks tends to get a little more difficult as you age and become less attractive, travel less, etc.

I know they have options. I have options. Anyone who goes to a strip club has options. As far as being a "snitch" goes... there wives are my friends too. So yeah, as a friend, I would "snitch." (Seriously? "Snitch"? Are you 12?)

Let me ask you this. If you found out your buddy's girlfriend was sleeping around, would you tell your buddy?

If your friends know you're 'that guy' that will tell they're obviously not going to brag to you about the girl from college they ran into at a conference in D.C. Trust me, this stuff is happening...a lot more often than you think.

Two wrongs do not make a right, abusing your own teammate's trust is a horrible thing to do in any circumstance. What Nick Young did was legitimately awful, but I do not see that as being justification for D'Angelo Russell recording a private conversation; this matter could have been dealt with privately.

How is this not awesome? Two people who abuse the trust of people close to them and are both outed. It's awesome. Babble on about justification if you want but justification isn't an issue. Nick Young has nothing to complain about. Russell is probably the victim here as he's a product of his environment and watching Nick and probably others abusing trust left, right and centre he probably thought abusing trust was the right thing to do.

Thankfully I never played on a team with you Mr. Selfrightous.

Why? You cheating on your goat?

It's obvious Russell already knew by the leading questions, but whether it's bragging or something else you don't tell a coworker something that you want to keep secret.

Again if Russell wants to be the future of the Lakers he has to be leader, not a snake secretly recording conversations with his teammate and potentially ruining his private life. He'll be blackballed by the league and deservedly so. NBA players cheating on their significant other is pretty commonplace anyway

I agree it was stupid. He's young and he's got talent though, so people will get over it.

Arrogance of knowing he's the future of the franchise, bigger money, coddled by execs is exactly why he doesn't give a sh-t about Nick. Nick is an old, corny, bum to him...and he can and will take his rapper gf—if he wants to.

Leave it to this board to turn this news story into a debate about monogomy and religion. Lol

NBA players cheating on their significant others is probably about as commonplace as me brushing my teeth. Whether it's right or wrong is besides the point. Whatever is said or done in the locker room should stay there. Period. D'Angelo Russell is a child.

Russell can't be traded(which team wants a snitch?) and probably FAs will not want to play for LA with him as a teammate.
The kid managed to screw LAs offseason.
That takes talent.
Young is one of the most worthless players in their roster but this wasn't on him.

Russell is the problem, he will be seen as a rat every where. No one trust him and they already had trust issues with him.

ok, but he also is a lottery pick and the more talented player. if he has a break out season next year this will become a non issue, either way nick young is gone.

This looks really weird, I mean, if a friend of mine told me that he cheats on his girlfriend frequently, and I knew her in some way, yeah, I'd tell her, but not record a tape, put it online/sell it, nor baiting him to say it to the camera.

That's just... the worst thing russel could have done to his carrer, can't even say that he did it for Iggy.

Dumb dumb move, where's his agent at?

:nonono: Your boy will deny it, she prob won't believe you, and you'll be shunned from their entire social circle, your scorned old friend could jeopardize your community standing and professional contacts...all for what? Mind your business.

It feels like some people are taking sides, but in reality they're both in the wrong. It's not one or the other, it's both.

You shouldn't cheat on your girl (unless you have an understanding, then it's not cheating)
You shouldn't bait your friend into saying self damning things well filming for the sake of what? Really, why would he do this?

So it's not like one is in the right, and one is in the wrong. They both **** up.

Defending Russell is some bizarre, otherworldly homerism. There's just no way to defend what he did.

And it's not about "snitching" or "bro code" or any of that BS. It's about Russell invading Nick Young + Iggy's privacy (without their consent) and the broadcasting it to the world. This is as low as it gets.

We don't know what what Nick + Iggy's arrangement is, and it doesn't matter, but we absolutely know that Russell has no right to secretly film Nick Young talking about *anything* and then sharing it with the world. That Iggy is dragged into it makes it even worse and even more despicable. Now she has to deal with the blowback caused by an immature punk like DAR.

As far as FA goes, it's not like LA was able to attract any notable free agents this past summer, I wasn't expecting them to this summer either, so the impact shouldn't be as large as some think.

only people down playing this situation are laker fans. To be honest, you know the situation is real bad when you got other athletes tweeting that Russel is out of the locker room circle of trust.

Hey, won't worry at all, I did what I thought was right, and as I said, if i knew her/was her friend, that my business as well.

If my best friend comes bragging about cheating on his girlfriend, yeah, don't want him as a friend

You couldn't fight your way out of a wet paper bag. Funny that you think cheating on your missus means to you that no one is allowed to snitch on you. In fact you deserve to be since you are obviously a coward abusing another person's trust for your own personal gain.

In Russell's neck of the woods he has nothing to gain from this, in fact he loses as well. Russell is actually a hero, sacrificing himself for the greater good. He deserves a medal.

No smart ass,i don't know about you,but the world i live in, you don't freaking purposely go and tape your friend's private conversation about his relationship and spread it on social media.
You sound very much like a person who live in his mom's basement and living in fantasy life on internet. Hard to imagine people like you who think betraye friend it's heroic stuff actually have friend in real life
