Sorry, which of these numbers is supposed to be good?

As for defense, he is ranked 78 out of 79 centers in DRPM (better than Kanter though!).

He's pretty much exactly what people like me said he would be. A can't shoot, no defense, plodding dinosaur.

You're right he'll never improve his shot or get any better. Thanks for your invaluable insight.

You do realize you could apply this logic to every player ever, right? I mean, if you've watched enough basketball, you would realize that not every player ever becomes better at everything. This makes your "insight" meaningless. Telling me that he will improve because...well, because.

Stop committing this fallacy of false hope. It doesn't help anyone. Yes, he might improve. No, it's not a certainty. It's as a good a chance as any random player ever.

What I do know right now, is that he is not a shooter or defender. Wake me when either of those changes.

The point was that for a 20 year old C his shot wasn't bad and it was vastly improved over Duke and his high school career (just look at his FT%). No one is projecting he'll improve his jumper after he hasn't I'm projecting he'll improve his jumper after seeing his FT% jump 18 points and his jumper improve a lot over last year. If you aren't in the business of making any type of projections why are you even discussing them as prospects.

I'm not going to project that a 69% FT shooter becomes a good mid-range shooter. And in today's game, that's not enough. If you're a big, you need to be an elite mid-range shooter, otherwise you're just going to hurt your team on offense.

The best rookie on the floor tonight in Sacramento?

Not Karl-Anthony Towns, not Willie Cauley-Stein, not Tyus Jones.

This guy:

Not hard to have the second worst drpm when your team has one of the worst defensive ratings in the league. Not to mention that nearly any guard can easily get into the paint due to horrible perimeter defense.

How can you not just absolutely love Josh Richardson man. Kid is great at 3 and D... and just completely pulverises the rim lol...

He should try out for both the dunk contest and 3P contest next season.

Havent watched him play much yet. Do any heat fans see him having a better career than Winslow? I see that they are the same size.

Winslow is already the best and most intelligent defender on the team at 19/20. He will be better than Richardson because of his defense and all around ability. Rich is a better shooter, but thats it. Once Winslow works and gets better in his shooting, he will be the better player easily. Winslow is also 30 lbs heavier than Rich, so they're not the same size. Rich is one hell of a player himself, but Winslow reminds me alot of Draymond Green,

Surprising, considering how Byron has been pulling him in and out of the lineup all season.

Am I crazy or do I remember correctly that one of his pre-draft weaknesses as a prospect was that he needed to work on his 3 point shooting?
