Re: Nigel Hayes
I think he will be fine at the next level. Just being played in a role not meant for him.

Exactly, he is not suppose to be a 1st option, neither a 2nd for that matter, he will be good even as a starter in the right fit for him.
He might chose to stay, although it would be a mistake, next year's class is much more stronger.

Re: Nigel Hayes
Nigel is one of the most underrated guys in this draft. At the 3 he might be the fourth best after Simmons, Ingram, Chriss. That's 1,2 and top 10. Imo Nigel could be a pick in the 20's.
I don't know why so many list him as a pf. I think he'll fit the NBA 3 well.

Re: Nigel Hayes
Nigel is back. No agent so he's not committed but he will be. This guy is a small forward. I think Simmons is a SF and so is Chriss. Both could. Be used as pf's Though. So Nigel is #4 SF, but might be #2 after Ingram if teams consider Simmons and Chriss PF's.
This guy is a stud. I hope one of my teams gets him.
Comments above about Nigel not being the guy to be in a #1 option role are right. But this guy will be a demaree carrol only better.

Re: Nigel Hayes
Why is he such a bad rebounder? 6.5 reb/40 for a PF prospect is not just bad, it's hideous

He's not a pf in the NBA. Look at him. Watch how much value guys his size and athletic ability on the wing are worth.
Where did you get PF?

Re: Nigel Hayes
I have a feeling that Hayes will somehow be one of the best bang-for-the-buck players in the NBA. Not necessarily that he becomes an All-Star or anything near that, but this guy will thrive even in limited minutes.

I have the opposite feeling. I have a feeling he's never going to develop much more and be somewhat of a bust. I think he's going to be a career 30% shooter from 3 and he's going to be an average wing defender/average post defender. When I see Hayes play, I think he plays in his head and I think it's going to be a huge detriment to his career. I just don't think he's ever going to have it all there mentally to be consistent or hustle enough on defense. I don't think he's enough of a scorer, enough of a defender and I don't think he's a student of the game enough. I love his tools, but he really needs the perfect coach and environment to reach the most of his ability IMO.

Re: Nigel Hayes
While I think he's better off playing another year of college ball, I think Nigel can make it in the pros. For all the criticism he took from Badger fans last year for his poor outside shooting, he was still the best all-around Badger. Easily in my opinion. A number of fans thought Happ came on to overtake him in importance, but Hayes did so many things for the Badgers including things that Happ couldn't do.
I think fiddling with his outside shot during the previous summer threw his shot off. He still looks better shooting a three than Dekker. Compared to Dekker he doesn't quite have Dekker's explosiveness or strength (I don't know about length), but he's close. And he's a smarter player than Dekker. And again despite his poor shooting last year his outside shot doesn't look bad. He just didn't put the ball in hole like he did his first two years.
