No he is not, he is still a guy that has no position defensively and pretty much doesnt do nothing more than shoot the ball.
He can score in a number of ways and he's still really young. I don't think the verdict is out of his defense, but I agree he won't be able to defend a position right now. Length would help him at least in the post and he's athletic enough to play the 4 defensively. I don't think he's ever a starter, but he can be a good pick up for a team that needs bench scoring in the latter 2nd round. I don't actually think he's a first rounder, but Ford says he can be and Ford actually talks to front offices so I can't dispute it. Just trying to rationalize what he could see in Bentil as a first round prospect. I think I would take a bunch of forwards before him though. Robert Carter Jr is projected in the same kind of spot and I would take him ahead of Bentil. I just wanted to post that as an observation and I couldn't find a good thread for it so I posted it here.
Having said that, a guy like Kyrie Irving get critical acclaim and he's only an offensive guy. Same with Blake Griffin and many other stars. You don't have to be a two-way player to be a top player or not a steal.
