We got to see the best athletes in Football out there today

Lots of guys are talking about Ramsey possibly being the best overall prospect in this draft. He’s hyped up and he verified it with the measurables today with 4.4 in the 40, 41 ½ vert, and 11’3 (!!!) broad. Obviously he’s a gifted athlete, but I haven’t seen much film on him yet but we’ll see how good of a ‘football player’ he is. I’m curious to know how special guys think he is. How does he measure up with top DB prospects Patrick Peterson or Eric Berry from a few years back? Or is he that special that he’s the best since Sean Taylor in 2004?

I’m not sure if Icness has Ramsey listed as a Safety or a Corner, but he actually has William Jackson III (from Houston) as his top rated CB right now. Mayock and Bucky Brooks don't even have Jackson in their top 5. We also know Hargreaves is special and lots of people have him listed as a top 10 overall pick. His measurable aren’t top-notch, but he’s great on film with a lot of fight in him. Mackenzie Alexander was also great on film and another highly touted Corner but he didn’t work out at the combine due to a hamstring. Seems like a really good DB class this year.

Ramsey is a safety and my No. 2 overall prospect behind Tunsil. Zeke Elliott is 3rd. If Ramsey plays CB he's behind Jackson and Alexander to me. I'm not a huge believer in VH3 but don't hate him.

I'll have an updated big board sometime this week.

Heard a rumor that a lot of teams have dropped Cravens into the third round after the combine. Most teams no longer view him as a SS.

Henry is at the top of some boards, ahead of Elliot.

Tunsil seems like the way too obvious pick at #1 for Tennessee.

I think that Wentz solidified himself as the top QB in the draft at the combine (Goff didn't look bad at all, but Wentz seemed to have it all going). I don't think any top team is as QB starved as Cleveland and I don't see anybody being able to offer enough to jump them for Wentz at #1, so I think you can quite confidently slot him at 2.

I think #3 and 4 are interesting picks. I'm not buying all of the hype about the Cowboys looking t Goff at 4 here (though, I actually think it's something they should consider), so I'd expect 2 defensive players picked here (likely Jack and Ramsey). But, if the Cowboys talks about Goff seem to persist, then, I would have to think San Francisco would have to look long and hard at moving up to #3. I would say that no team, except for LA, needs a QB more than SF.

I think Bosa or Buckner probably would go at 5 (they could use an edge rusher).

On the QB front, while I don't think he merits it (though it's not as much of a stretch as one might have thought earlier), I would not be surprised at all if Paxton Lynch went #15 to the Rams. I think he was pretty much a second round graded guy but people keep talking themselves into him being like a Joe Flacco and he showed reasonably well at the combine. With LA having just gotten the Rams back, you'd have to think they want to make a splash. The Texans would need to look at him long and hard if he was there at 22 as well

I actually think this is a very deep QB class (in terms of guys that will play in the league). I have a limited sample size (didn't watch tons of college football), but in watching the combine, I saw 6-7 guys with really good arms/mechanics, where, if you told me they were a 1st/2nd round prospect, not knowing anything about their past, I couldn't tell you were lying. Usually, you'll see the one or two guys that stand out as elite and maybe 1 or 2 guys that put themselves in a second tier with everyone else just kinda clumping into one big group of mediocre guys.

As much as I try not to do so, I always end up focusing on QBs, because they help segment the draft for me. With that being said, I'm curious to see if teams will pick the best player available or if D-linemen will actually drop in the draft because they are just so plentiful this year. If teams truly are committed to picking the BPA, then we should expect a couple teams coming out of the first 2 rounds with 2 D-linemen.

Ramsey, Bosa, and I think Tunsil have all claimed to be the best player. Do Wentz' past injuries concern anyone?

It is time! The fridge is stocked. The vacation forms are submitted, and the wife is on notice to care for the kids... It's draft week.

A lot of steam out there on Stanley going higher than Tunsil.

I have a feeling Derrick Henry is going to flop like Eddie Lacey. Funny thing is I've seen a couple mocks that have Henry ending up in Green Bay.

Goff or Wentz, who do you guys think will wind up being the better pro?

Wentz will be better right away and Goff might take a bit of time.

Looks like the Broncos and Eagles were discussing a Bradford trade, but apparently talks broke down. Wonder if we'll see Bradford and/or Kaepernick traded tonight.

I agree.

The Rams need to get him some weapons on the outside. There has been no continuity at the position since Torry Holt and Issac Bruce left. Don't want to stunt Goff or Wentz growth by surrounding them with mediocrity.

San Diego is when the draft truly begins. Stanley, Buckner, Ramsey...seems like no one has any idea.
