If the Lakers win it, then it is definitely rigged, because the league needs a large market team like LA to thrive.
If the Sixers win it, then it is definitely rigged. That was their reward for firing Hinkie, who was making a mockery out of tanking.
If Phoenix wins it, then it is definitely rigged. The league needs small market teams like Phoenix to thrive, just to bring balance to the league.
If Minnesota wins it, then it is definitely rigged. The league wanted to ensure that Wiggins and Towns would make deep playoff runs, as well as bolster ratings in Canada.
If New Orleans wins it, then it is definitely rigged. The league wanted Anthony Davis to be paired up with another superstar, so they could make deep playoff runs.
If Sacramento wins it, then it is definitely rigged. The league wanted to reward Vivek Ranadive because he kept the team in Sacramento and for building a new arena.
If Denver wins it, then it is definitely rigged. Stan Kroenke paid Silver close to $100 million under the table.
Ok, I'm tired of making conspiracies up. You guys can finish off the rest of the teams.
Yeah, this is the problem with paranoid reasoning. If they were going to fix the lotto this year, though, it would be for Sacramento all the way. They have the biggest claim to need, a new arena, staying in Sacto, Cousins at risk of leaving. They're the only team who would make me suspicious by jumping into the top 3.
More often it's just some random team like the Bucks, I could see them adding Ben Simmons, that would be the most absurd roster in league history.
