Yeah, already regretting that one. Still, such is life. REALLY wanted Terry Porter to fall to here.

LOL. I really wish I hadn't even brought it up. I know the GM who actually took him isn't trying to sell him as a spacer. I just looked it up out of curiosity and was surprised how well he did shoot it that year(for him, not in general obviously). Please pardon this digression--tho technically as I understand this game Dennis Rodman should be treated as a 32% 3-pt shooter.

I'll continue the role player theme and select:
Shane Battier, SF
Not sure what year yet; will depend on the other players I get as to whether I can squeeze in a high RAPM year. Gives me good flexibility as has several good options. Felt with Wade/Duncan I needed a bit more 3 and not quite DPOY D relative to alternatives. More later when not half drunk.

I think pretty much everyone had this guy on their draft board coming up. Ultimate low shot, glue guy. I would go with 2013 here, played a lot of 4 that year, hit the three well, only 5 shots per game.

Offensively he was uber efficient from every spot on the floor, had 48/41/95 shooting splits, was an above average defender, and was a first option in a low volume role. With Nash-Allen-*****-McHale-Walton I don't think anyone else could top my offensive firepower.
I was really surprised when Allen wasn't taken somewhere in the first 3 rounds. I'd definitely call him a steal.
I think there's a few sharpshooters I would've taken over him, including 15 Korver. If I hadn't taken Kobe, I would really be zeroing in on these shooting guards right now.AustinCarr61 wrote:You're up, I believe.

Well I didn't just want a shooter I wanted a scorer. Korver - for all of his shooting - is still a role player that's not hard to stop (in 2015 he averaged 11 ppg, shot 43% from deep, and had a 111 ORTG vs top 10 defenses and he averaged 11 ppg on 35% shooting from deep in the playoffs). Great pick when you just need shooting but he's a less dynamic player for sure.

Do you really need a scorer though? You have Nash and then Walton. You pretty much need to stock up on finishers now. Allen is obviously pretty great at that, but Korver had a better season on less shots.
