"Have you decided if you'll opt out?"
"I havent decided on anything yet I'm just focusing on getting better everyday to dominate."
"Can you and Harden play together?"
"Well I think we can we just have to put our egos to the side."
"Why don't people like you?"
"Well people saw the way I left Orlando but it pisses me off because I still have the hunger and passion to be great."
He sounded a little bit more genuine but this wasn't some ground breaking stuff to me, he has always been nice enough off the court. But when the game gets going and he starts pouting blaming everyone else, I don't want that on my team. He hasn't changed much.
You can't expect the man to just get up there and sh*t on the Rockets and Harden, there is time for that down the line when and if he leaves, to let his real feelings known. He would lose and leverage with the Rockets at at all. I thought he seemed as genuine as he could be in his current situation. Being completely honest would have been just as bad as being completely artificial. That could have gotten really really awkward quick if he got sensitive and cowarded from the answers. I promise a lot of nba superstars wouldn't have handled it as well as him, Shaq can barely take any kind of criticism at all without getting his feelings hurt. He just doesn't get grilled because he won rings. I don't think those questions were prompted either because that's not Barkley and Inside's style. All things considered he handled it as well as one could hope.
I do think Dwight lost his way in the NBA Superstar clouds even towards the end of his tenure with Orlando. I don't think he is a bad dude and I hope that was the opening of his parachute to come back to Earth last night.
As far as him coming back to Orlando again it would be cool story if he did and we made a run, but if it happens cool if not I'm cool too. Kinda in the whatever happens zone.
I agree, I only said it because people have been praising how candid and informative that interview was. Didn't really say much to me.
