Justise played 27 minutes at the center position during the Heat/Raptors game 6. He scored 12pts to Biyombo's 4 and more than held his own on the glass, more so keeping Biyombo away from boards by tipping them to teammates than grabbing them himself.

He'll probably be the starting center again in game 7.

There are plenty of players in this draft, that have better stats and overall look better on the court. But on defense, he could be the best to come out in some time. The guy is a LBJ type defender. The stats early in the year were crazy and now in playoffs, when game is on line, he is our best defender and defending the 1-5, which is nutz from a 20 yr old rookie.

Yeah, Denver instead is the land of shooter... Both teams have the exact same 3P% (33,8%). However few of the Jokic's assist came of the post, so spreading the floor isn't so important to him.
I repeat for the last time: I'm not saying that KAT is a bad passer (or have bad court vision), I'm saying Jokic is better in this particular aspect of the game and his advance stats are awesome.

I didn't want to make a comparison between Jokic and KAT, but there is a reason because their advance stats are pretty similar and it isn't because "advanced stats can be flawed". Malone use Jokic's strengh very well and the advance stats show that...

Most minutes for Wolves (>20mpg):
Wiggins: 30.0% 3P
Rubio: 32.0% 3P
Lavine: 38.9% 3P
Dieng: 30.0% 3P
Shabazz: 28.9% 3P
Prince: 17.4% 3P
Martin: 36.9% 3P (less than 1/2 season when KAT played only 20mpg)
Overall: 4.6 / 13.7 33%
Without Martin: 3.6 / 11.1 32%
Lavine and 1/2 season Martin are the best shooters. The rest of the team is trash.

Most minutes for Nuggets (>20mpg):
Gallinari: 36.4% 3P
Harris: 35.4% 3P
Mudiay: 31.9% 3P
Barton: 34.5% 3P
Nelson: 29.9% 3P
Faried: 50.0% 3P
Augustin: 41.1% 3P
Arthur: 38.8% 3P
Overall: 8.8 / 25.0 35%
Except Nelson and Mudiay, others are really good shooters.

Overall Nuggets's best players shoot 3% higher on twice more 3 point attempts than Wolves best players.

I love how you point out how Martin only played half the season and KAT was playing less mpg at the time. Yet somehow you throw Gallo, Augustin, and Nelson into the mix...and don't mention they only played a combined 120 games for the Nuggets this season, out of a possible 246. Then you throw Faried into the mix as one of the Nuggets best 3pt shooters, because he made 1 out of 2 attempts on the season? I don't get why people always try to skew things to look an erroneous way just to make a point. All you do is lose credibility.

Nevertheless, it's all really irrelevant. As Riko mentioned, Jokic wasn't living in the post, drawing defenders and kicking it out for open threes very often. For the most part his assists came from the high post or even 3pt line, hitting backdoor cuts and feeding guys for layups. He's so versatile and has legit three point range himself, so he plays almost like a point-forward at times. His vision and feel for the game is impeccable, for both being a big man and a rookie.

The Heat are out scoring the Raptors by 24.1 points per 100 possession over the past 3 games when Winslow is at Center...

Watch these highlights. When you have a PG like Rubio, a lot of times our other players are getting the ball in positions to score because Rubio is so effective at getting them the ball in their spots and good spots to score.

Towns passing and vision is great. As we start to run more and more offense through him and surround him with shooters his assist numbers will sky rocket.

Honestly, offensively Towns plays a lot like KD lol. A forward version of KD, but KAT has a guard's skill set on the perimeter it's really crazy the amount of pump fakes and fakes and footwork KAT has.

I saw a lot of great post moves and jumpers, but not enough to say his passing/vision is better than jokic.

I mean they only showed 4 or 5 plays where he passed the ball. But if you saw the skill and vision there on those 4 or 5 plays...like you or whichever Nuggets fan who posted those Jokic videos cherry picked 4 or 5 plays as well...extrapolate that you realize Towns was making those kinds of passes every game.

But regardless, I've only seen the odd game and highlights of Jokic and you haven't seen as much of Towns as I have. So we're both going to argue a different way for the same reason. I'm more concerned with if Towns is a good passer--which he is. Than I am if Towns is a better or worse passer than Jokic. Just as I'm sure you're mostly concerned with if Jokic is or if he is not a good passer, and it seems like he is a very good passer. From that point it's just debate and semantics really.

no, I get that. im more arguing the idea that KAT must be better at everything than all other rookies. towns is definitely the better player but definitely not the better passing big man.

I don't think he must be better than all rookies at everything. Nor do I think he is the best rookie at everything. Where is this idea coming from?

So while we are at it.

Porzingis is better defender than Towns.

Jokic is better passer.

Okafor is better post scorer.

Something else? ^_^
