At the very least we're screwing with the Lakers' heads which is fun.

Actually I think the bigger thing is that people know that whoever we pick will impact the other moves we make, and waiting to commit keeps teams in the dark there.

The less commited we are, so are they. And we tend to not overvalue things when we are less committed/focused (nudge in behavioral economics). Easier for us to trade with them, while also allows us to make better decisions.

And how exactly are the Sixers messing with the Lakers heads? You take Simmons we take Ingram, you take Ingram we take Simmons as easy as that LOL! Lakers are in a sweet spot anyway you look at it, we are glad to keep our pick, we stayed in the #2 spot in a two top player draft... it's a win win for LA.

They are very different players and you're losing an opportunity to plan around the presumed new franchise player of your roster. For example, if you knew you were getting Simmons maybe you would use this time to see what you can get for randle. Or look into different late round guys to acquire.

And more basically, it's just annoying to have to wait until draft day to know who you are going to get, even if you would be happy with either one.

It's not a huge deal but it's definitely suboptimal.

You have a point. Good luck with your pick (Simmons) I feel like both Simmons and Ingram will do great in the NBA and will help both franchises become relevant again along with the youth of both teams. Cheers.

Even as a 76ers Fan that was a good comeback.

Even though we ended up with Bynum, Howard did not quite work out the way you'd hope. :D

At the time of the trade the Lakers were reported to have got the best center in the NBA and the 76ers had the best center in the eastern conference. Funny how that whole thing worked out for both teams.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

I believe (hope) that he was being sarcastic. I don't mind the Bynum deal in hindsight, we were going nowhere with that roster and if not for it Hinkie wouldn't have been hired to hastily dismantle what had peaked and/or was already toppling.

The Bynum trade, while an utter failure, doesn't really sting as bad as the Barkley trade or the 1986 debacle. It was a swing for the fences, and in part has to be remembered as two failed deals, Bynum and Moultrie. We would have the 31st pick in this draft if it weren't for the Moultrie deal, so that wound has never fully healed yet, lol.

Really bad attempt at a comeback bud.

Go back to the Laker board (if you ever posted there in the 1st place) instead of spending your time trolling on ours.

Yea they did, taking Boston to 7 games is something no one saw coming. Collins maxed out that roster.

The Bynum debacle worked out great for us. It was directly responsible for the Hinkie era, which has us poised for dominance assuming Colangelo and son don't F it up racing to the middle.

Why would we move Randle? Luke plans on using him at multiple spots PF/C. It's like he said its win win we take the left over player and keep it moving. If the two (Jules and Ben) don't work out after one season you now have a trade chip

Pelton projection rankings. Simmons, Bender, Ingram - that order.

Arsenal, may I ask how did the D12 project work? My google is down.
