Thad Young has a $3.75m trade bonus that BKN pays. Young cap hit for the Pacers (starting in 2016-17) is 14.1m, 14.7m, 13.7m (P).
So if they are indeed cutting money, that is very good news. They may go the Philly salary floor loophole route. In other words, play most of the season well under the salary floor, then take on money at the very end in order to meet the deadline for hitting the salary floor, while in reality paying well under it. That would cut their FA spending a good bit if so.
