Knicks day one:
1.)We renounce every cap hold opening up an additional $23,491,245 in cap space. (not including the QO's of Galloway and Early)
2.)So we have Phil and Melo (and Rose if needed) get on the phone and set up meetings for KD, D12, Noah, and Horford. (Signing priority in that order.) We sell them on two stars and a young player with ridiculous potential. As well as the ability to create an amazing legacy for themselves in one of the biggest markets in the league and to be viewed as a hero in it. KD and D12 have both been noted to be intrigued so Phil's magic may work. We offer Howard and Durant max contracts starting at $26.6 mil annually for KD and $31 mil annually for D12. 4 years with a PO for the last one.
3.)We offer a 2 year $2.5 mil annually contract (we should have roughly 5 mil open after either signing) to each of Josh Smith and Ty Lawson (It's the Knicks side of the transactions) with a player option the second year. We sell each of them on a chance of getting back into the limelight on one of the biggest stages in the NBA but we attempt to persuade them to wait until we see what KD and D12 do.
4.)Lastly, the stars and Lawson and Smith should take up most of the cap, so we approach Et'waun Moore and should he decline, DJ Augustin with the BAE selling them on a possible starting role should Rose get injured and Lawson fail but don't make the offer completely official yet.
5.)We start talks with Thomas Robinson, Cole Aldrich, Wesley Johnson, Lance Thomas, Alan Anderson, and Xavier Henry for vet min deals for 3 years (I.e. a Robert Covington deal) also selling them on Phil Jackson, the possibility to boost their value and name, and a guaranteed pay check for 3 years.

You don't have the cap space for Durant and Dwight, you need to prioritize which one you pursue in case one makes their decision before the other. If it's Dwight, then you don't have the remaining cap space for Lawson and Smith's offer.

You also don't have a BAE, did you mean the cap MLE? Or you holding off on bringing Guillermo Hernangomez over?

6. Al Horford is expected to make his decision tonight with the only offer coming from Houston so far.

The Brooklyn Nets have rescinded their offersheet to Bradley Beals the wizards have made it clear they will match the offer and the nets see no avenues for a sign and trade.

The Nets would like to offer Al Horford a 4 Year Maximum Contract. (dudley has passed on our offer and going to the highest bigger, that 6 million with the beal max we pulled along with the cap we already had is more then enough)

Pitch: Horford would get to move back to PF, and would reunite with Kenny Atkinson, a guy he praised and tweeted out to once he got the Nets Job. Nets have pointed that they are "close" on Rajon Rondo and are have also contacted the agent of Horfords teammate Kent Bazemore and would be looking to bring him into the fold as well to form a legit team in brooklyn.

The Jazz would like to propose renegotiating contracts with Derrick Favors and George Hill. Doing so presents the Jazz with a way to use our cap space without entering what I feel will be a toxic free agent market. We take a salary hit this year for some relief down the road. I have used the most lucrative option presented there for Derrick and I'm going to bump his 4th year on top of that to 18 mil. So, he will get an offer of:

74.7 million over 4 years. If Favors rides out his current deal and gets a full max offer afterwards his salary will total 83 million over the same time period. However, in this offer Favors is getting the security of a long term deal and he also gets his money quicker, money now is worth more than money later, so the difference in spending power between this offer and his best case scenario otherwise is small and I believe that he would sacrifice a couple million in spending power to gain the security of a long term deal and avoid the circus of free agency.

This works for the Jazz because we save a few million in the long run and when it comes time to extend our other players Derrick will be on a somewhat friendly salary of 17-18 million instead of a potential cap busting 30 million.

This renegotiation will cost the Jazz 11 million in cap space bringing our toal to 13,939,249.00

I believe it also makes sense to lock up George Hill for the same time period, albiet for a much lower figure.

The Lakers are prepared to announce the signing of Evan Turner to the media if all else is completed. Still awaiting that of Whiteside's decision. I have already placed a call to HW himself stating our intent to make him a focal point of our offense. In Portland, he would have to compete with Lillard and McCollum for touches and would have a situation like that in Miami, albeit with younger players.

The Lakers are willing to dole out incentives if we make playoffs anytime soon, although I would have to consult our resident capologist for that.
