http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post/Would-Bulls-trade-No-1-pick-for-Wade-?urn=nba,85855

Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors involving the Bulls and Miami Heat. Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?

"I have heard my name being talked about, and I can't worry about it," Wade said Monday at the Attack Athletics training facility on the West Side. "There is one thing in this league that you have no control over. If another organization wants you, then you should feel good to be wanted."

Wade grew up idolizing Michael Jordan while starring at Richards High School and then Marquette.

"I have a lot of history with the Bulls," Wade said. "And for them to come out with the first pick like that (with a 1.7 percent lottery chance) ... it was fitting that they would do something like that. Nobody thought that would happen. To be in that position and sit back and listen to anything and go back to a team and say: 'How about this? and 'How about that?' ... If [the Bulls] don't make any big moves like that, they're still going to have a great player."

Memphis guard Derrick Rose and Kansas State forward Michael Beasley are expected to go 1-2 in the draft.

So now that Wade is officially a Bull, would it not be tampering if Pat the Rat reaches out to him via e-mail? I mean how does that work exactly? Does the league have to approve that type of correspondence or what?

I think depends on his year here. If he likes it here, organization, teammates, coaching staff, being close to his family, and Bulls making deep playoff run I personally dont see Wade going back to Heat. I see him opting in another year of his contract. I think one year from now both sides will move on eventually from this phase.

But let's be real here, this is Pat move for free agency. He needs to stay with Wade on good relationship and fix it. Otherwise no market FA will come there. Loyalty is a bi*** Riley.

I remember wanting to do that deal, as Wade was already a proven superstar. It would've been #1 for Wade.

Did Wade make his signing with the Bulls official yet? I was out of town all weekend. I know he's in China right now.

In hindsight wish we had done this would probably had Bosh and Lebron here.

I hope so!

I would start a team:
RoLo
Taj
McDermott
Jimmy
Rondo

if Rondo tries hard enough at defense. This group could hide Doug's defensive and rebounding deficiences, while Wade & Mirotic would bumslaying second units.

He has only been playing 30-31 mpg.

I suppose I would play him in the 1st quarter maybe first 7 minutes and come back mid 2nd quarter. So 13 minutes first half and then 7 minutes in 3rd quarter and 10-12 in the 4th. So around 30-32 minutes a game on average.

Wade's no saint in all this either. Riley did great damage control yesterday, though on his end. And now he has a ton of cap space next summer.

People were rating us as the 5th seed back in 2011 and we got the top seed and best record.

While there is plenty of room for skepticism, the posts saying that our ceiling is basically our team this year are crazy. If someone wants to say we are a lotto team, whatever, but there is at the very least potential beyond this past year's results/team.

Like most GMs, Riles lies a lot.

I don't know. I think part of him not want Wade gone. But they really screwed Wade over. No need to go out of their way to do that.

I believe Riley thought Wade would stay, just like everyone else did.

I think most GMs would get more heat for the lying and lowballing they did to Wade.

They may be withou Bosh and Lu and Wade are gone. I feel they would have been great to help try to keep Whiteside grounded.

Great question. My guess is it's highly not allowed and not appropriate. I also guess it will be done and ignored by the NBA.

There's probably a way around it such as sending something to Wade's agent and having him relay it. I doubt no President or GM has never contacted in some capacity a player that has left their team.
