Yup, this is the type of deal that sets the market going forward for someone like Baynes. It's going to be a weaker market at that position next summer too. I'm kind of hoping Aron doesn't opt out because Detroit might be able to get a decent haul for him in a trade... but he will. Too much money will be out there to pass up on and there will likely be better opportunities for playing time as well.

i am disappointed the timing never worked out for him, and i really think if he deserved playing time , he could have shown it in practice. I do think he'll eventually be a starter in this league if he can sustain a consistent jump shot.

I think ultimately his ceiling is probably RJ so i am okay with the trade

His ceiling is RJ? WTF? RJ was damn near an All Star last season.

Dinwiddie would have to get passed around at coach's conventions like a sex toy to even get that close to being picked

That's what puzzles you about that post?

I'm puzzled that he's "okay" with giving up an asset he believes has RJ potential for a guy we already cut!

Not sure whether it was the injury or something else, but Dinwiddie simply didn't look like an NBA player most of the time last year. We all had hopes we'd gotten a steal in the second round last year, but it didn't work out that way. It happens.

Basically guys that use there size to draw the defense and kick it out, have ability to finish at the rack and spread the floor with a jump shot. I am tempted to say livingston but i don't see really much post play in SD's game yet.

I don't know what the reactions are about, i am merely pointing to his potential not what he currently is.

Lastly you guys forget that he's still in his 3rd year and has yet to play any consistent minutes. He obviously has potential, as you can't just outplay Drose and Jwall causually, and the ability is obviously there. His biggest question mark is his jump shot , which seemed to be coming around in the D-League before he got injured. Hopefully a different situation with more consistent minutes will help him turn it around.

Also if SD's ceiling is RJ, he's not going to develop into that player as our 3rd pg. I am okay with trading him for nothing as imo, he'll never be better than RJ. I would have like to have gotten more value, but rarely are you going to get anything for your 3rd pg. Furthermore, i think SVG was intrigued by Bairstow, he didn't anticipate him being little b* and refusing to play

Bucks to re-sign Miles Plumlee to 4-year, $52 million deal

Anyone still think Leuer is overpaid?

There was a point where I was shocked he got that much, then a couple weeks into the offseason and I think SVG is smart again. Its like he knew how bad some of these contracts would get and just identified two guys (ish and jon) that he really wanted. Philly helped set us up with Boban by driving Manus number up.

 i am sure we are still going to get comments about how Babo is overpaid at 7 mil as well.

IMO

SVG is giving Babo until the allstar break to get familiar with the O & D play sets. There hope is that he'll prove ready and they can sell high on Baynes, who will be highly sought at as all backup centers are. Of course we'd then find a way to trade for Joel Anthony or sign him off the street. haha

Man, that sucks for him. Meeks could be a valuable third or fourth guard in a rotation if he could just stay healthy.

On the flip side Jodie is going to make $18 million over three years for mostly rehabbing. Can't feel too sorry for him.

Man I almost feel like a heckler at this point but both the Magic and the Bucks seem like the dumbest bumbling idot run teams in the league. They are worse then the sixers, and nets in my honest opinion because unlike those two teams who tried to do something different (one bought up stars for a title, the other tried to tank their way into all stars)and failed, these two teams just can't seem to do anything right.

How does one GM get a guy for nothing almost, while another pays a 3rd string center 50+million? How does one team take a 23 yo pf/sf just resigned for bits and pieces, when another trades their arguably best player for a 27yo pf that's on the last year of his contract and may just bolt?

I cannot wrap my head around it.

Bless you Stan Van Gundy.

Orlandos goal is depth with the realization that they can't get a Durant or another big name type player just like we're in. Ibaka has some 3 range, and Bismack gives them a paint protector. Like it or leave it, a healthy Meeks would have been great value. So it was a worthwhile risk. I feel like they needed to move CJ Watson. They needed to resign Evan Fournier. Jeff Green is way overpaid, but for only one season.

The Bucks- I have no idea what they are thinking, at all. Considering Hammond is running things, I almost forgive Dumars a little bit. Its like Isiah Thomas is secretly running the Bucks. Mirzas getting $10 mil a year, which almost seems like value at this point. Plumlee is getting more then that. Delladova and MCW. Two well paid lower of the pack PGs trying to prove that having two starting PGs is better then one. With Tyler Ennis rotting on the bench. Greg Monroe, god we dodged a bullet. Has been on the trade market since pretty much 20 games into his Buck career. Khris MIddleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo talent is being wasted. John Henson hit his peak hard.

Its like they have a lot of "talent", but a very mediocre team.

I was so terrified of drafting Henson in the Drummond draft.

Yup. I pictured Dre going one pick before us to the Raps, is drafting Henson and me sitting in the garage with the car running.

First Catanella to Sacramento and now Wright to San Antonio. You know Detroit is building a good organization when their front office guys start getting poached.

Random Prediction: Milwaukee has an offer waiting for Motiejunas but told him to sit and be patient until they trade Monroe.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Good job Andre!
