His evolving hair is also awesome.
his playoffs were all that productive. he was solid. he had a solid game 3/4, but had an awful game 6. and overall his 12/2/2 on 54 TS% 14 PER really wanst any more productive then his season with the knicks(better raw stats with NY, even PER36 with basically the same efficiency).
i think Lins game 3/4 outburst kind of overshadowed his less then stellar play the other 5 games of that series
I think he was mainly talking about Lin's hustle and D, which was pretty impressive.
Offensively, Lin didn't get much opportunity to play PG. Batum was the point forward of the team; Al Jefferson was the focal point of the offensive with the bench.
Game 3 and 4, Nic didn't play. Lin played great scoring wise and they won. Game 5 the Heat schemed to stop his scoring; his passing was the most important reason for the win. Game 6 they were pretty exhausted with multiple injuries, the Heat played all out. Batum was back, Lin was in foul trouble and he didn't play very well before that, who knows what would happen if he was on the court late? Game 7 he played pretty well, but unfortunately didn't get to do much, probably cuz Cliff wanted to placate Nic so he would resign with the Hornets in free agency. Then it was trash time.
So, he played pretty well and won when he had the chance.
id be thrilled with the knicks version of lin.... 19/8/4 PER36 on 54 TS%. i want him to be super aggressive. we dont have anyone who can create offense off the dribble and really no offense outside brook. id rather a lin who maybe turns it over a bit but creates more offense over an inconsistent lin who is deferring more.
Agreed. I'd say fork it, go for it!
That's the way to win games!
