Not that much better. Are you saying Lowry than a top 5 player in the league. I would take Dipo/WB over Lowry/DeRozen due to WB alone.
Its not even so much Dipo and Westbrook that concerns me about that lineup. Those two guys can probably make it work. I'd just feel a lot better if they had better shooting from the other spots.
Kyle Lowry is a pretty impressive longball shooter for a point guard. He's not Steph Curry, but he's pretty solid. Neither Westbrook nor Oladipo are really floor spacers. Their best shooter as it stands now is Anthony Morrow, and he doesn't do much else.
Again, the team isn't complete. They need much better shooting from the forward spots. I suspect they'll start Ilyasova, which will help some, with Kanter as a solid 6th man. A 3 and D guy at small forward and that team looks a lot better. They aren't a complete team by any means, but they've got a lot of good pieces and should be interesting moving forward.
I am thinking the Thunder lineup isn't complete this year, but next season they will be able to add to that lineup as they will have more cap flexability.
Yeah, like I said, get a solid 3 and D guy at the 3 and suddenly that lineup looks viable. They need young guys to step up and need to make some shrewd moves to get anywhere close to where they were, but as a young team with a star player and cap flexibiltiy, there's always gotta be cause for optimism, right?
