Not that much better. Are you saying Lowry than a top 5 player in the league. I would take Dipo/WB over Lowry/DeRozen due to WB alone.

Its not even so much Dipo and Westbrook that concerns me about that lineup. Those two guys can probably make it work. I'd just feel a lot better if they had better shooting from the other spots.

Kyle Lowry is a pretty impressive longball shooter for a point guard. He's not Steph Curry, but he's pretty solid. Neither Westbrook nor Oladipo are really floor spacers. Their best shooter as it stands now is Anthony Morrow, and he doesn't do much else.

Again, the team isn't complete. They need much better shooting from the forward spots. I suspect they'll start Ilyasova, which will help some, with Kanter as a solid 6th man. A 3 and D guy at small forward and that team looks a lot better. They aren't a complete team by any means, but they've got a lot of good pieces and should be interesting moving forward.

I am thinking the Thunder lineup isn't complete this year, but next season they will be able to add to that lineup as they will have more cap flexability.

Yeah, like I said, get a solid 3 and D guy at the 3 and suddenly that lineup looks viable. They need young guys to step up and need to make some shrewd moves to get anywhere close to where they were, but as a young team with a star player and cap flexibiltiy, there's always gotta be cause for optimism, right?

And deserves twice that much if there wasn't a % cap for an individual player.

I took the bait and read the first trade:

Millsap & Tim Hardaway Jr for Harris and KCP...

The "analysis" states that our guys bring added spacing to their starting unit!

Ummm, yeah!

I stopped after that

Its a total click bait of nonsense. Trade with Cavs nets us Love and Shumpert for Harris, Baynes and KCP. No.
Didn't bother reading any of the reasoning.

Todd doesn't have the mental capacity to say the words "we aren't going to trade KCP" or to the effect like the preface of the article states. He would just say "we're going to trade KCP for a scrub cuz cap space and 3pt% kek". Like it's already written in thy stone.

It's a long offseason, that article basically reflects the heatwave some are feeling, nauseating and delirious.

That website is like the low-rent cockroach filled government housing version of every other blog out there, except this one is run from the crawlspace.

In other news, Team USA is dangerously close to being that 04 team again.

They need guys that can actually run the offense and perform more read and react type offenses. You literally don't see anything like that.

A guy on reddit said it best, "Coach K is literally winning because we have more NBA players than you" type offense.

There must be some really bad writers on that reddit if that sentence is the best someone can do on there. :P

It used to be pretty good when it first started, Dan Feldman the guy who started it is solid. But he left pistonpowered to go cover the NBA for NBC, and it's gone downhill since.

Pistonpowered was a revelation when it came out. I think I later preferred DetroitBadBoys because they had more hard-hitting statistical analyses, but they changed up their web design and now I feel like I'm surfing through Buzzfeed. I'll give both another shot.

It's not a terrible piece. There are probably 10 or so proposals in there I'd at least consider. It's not like this is a Bulls writer proposing 31 possible Jordan trades in 1987 or something.

In "what in the actual ****" news, the Milwaukee Bucks sign Jason Terry.

I'm assuming they are building a giant mechanical press so they can smush all of their middling/terrible point gaurds together into either a serviceable starting point gaurd, or a war crime.

Maybe not in 1987, but in 1985 and 1986, some crazy fans were talking Jordan trades.

Just as a reminder to fellow Pistons fans to be wary of the general board, in an absolutely absurd event, I was recently suspended from the general board by a moderator who didn't quite understand what "you could have at least opened another Web page and done a quick fact check before you stuck a size 13 into your gaping maw" meant (it says in fancy language "you put your foot in your mouth") and it's made even worse because even after I explained it it was upheld (just absurd) the fact that I didn't even directly respond to the poster in question but to another poster who called him "mister Michigan"(great line) and I was called a "douche" by the poster and even though my sentence that contained nothing inappropriate was deleted his comment calling me a douche remains.

Be wary of the general board and it's horrible moderators Piston fans.

Also, appreciate the mods we have here, as they are the best, most relaxed, and least itchy trigger fingers on RealGM.

hey zeeb

I would suggest perusal of the latest 'mass dispatch' section on calling out mods on the forums. I would also strongly suggest you edit the follow up post you made on the GB.

Your best bet if an issue arises is to PM mod and discuss the issue and hopefully resolve things that way.

If you need assistance with another board's mod... PM one of the board's mods as we (I may not be part of that "we" much longer though :P ) may be able to help sort things out - roc

Hate to say it Zeeb but I've issued that recommendation multiple times since returning here and obviously some don't believe it.

It is what it is. Not condoning the actions of the Mod in question either but we all know the deal by now

Yeah I have read them and I have always tried to tread lightly with my snark but when the admin of the entire site upholds a "strike"(what am I 12?) against me for no reason, it's time to completely abandon the general board.

I'm done with it, and may just end up being done with the whole damn thing. This has really gotten under my skin.
