We have a PF and Center that don't really compliment each other, and our starting SF is a tweener.
My biggest fear is we're stuck on 35 wins for the next 5 years.
What?
Exactly - I'm not sure you understand fully the team we have.
If you could have picked a PF to partner with Vooch you couldn't have done much better than Ibaka. On paper(until they play together) there isn't another duo that blends offense and defense quite like the 2 of them combined.
Aaron Gordon is a Tweener at 6'9 225? The average around 6'8. If anything, Gordon was a Tweener at PF. He is not big enough to play that position to full effectiveness. Perfect for when we go small but honestly, he is built for the 3 right now.
Elf is a work in progress. I would agree in many ways he could be looked at like a throwback. Look at Kidd or Chauncey Billups and see how long it took them to become better shooters and point guards. It's the toughest position to learn and I think we'll see him take a little leap this year and if it's not enough, we'll move on.
