He was a bad player, now a worse agent.
Not necessarily. Montiejunas' QO was for $3.4M. It's certainly plausible to think that he is worth more than that in today's open market. The non-taxpayer mid level is $5.6M and the taxpayer mid-level is nearly $3.5M. Why should Motiejunas leave money on the table?
The fly in the ointment is his back. No team will extend an offer sheet if they don't think he can pass a physical.
