but it could be a religious thing. i recall reading somewhere that certain people (or religion, again i don't recall) won't shoot themselves in the face/head for funeral purposes (the open casket).
not saying that it should be dismissed as nothing, but there are reasons people don't. i don't understand it. if i go, it's head.
I was thinking the same thing. Plus, to expect logic from someone committing suicide is likely a wast of time. Those saying you wouldn't shoot yourself in the chest are applying LOGIC to an illogical situation.
Those declaring that this was a suicide are applying logic to an illogical situation
Once you enter the world of guys running trains, girls crying rape and gold digging for $20M, all logic goes out the window.
I have almost zero doubt in my mind that the detective was killed, and done so by a professional that made it look like a suicide. Who called the hit? I have no idea. It could be Rose. It could be the plaintiff. It could be someone related to them.
dat tinfoil hat
but here's some facts:
1. there's absolutely zero motive for rose to have called a hit. you can't charge someone based on nothing. there was never any real possibility of criminal charges. zero evidence, same reason why patrick kane wasn't charged with rape last fall, police had nothing.
2. detective wasn't even a part of the civil trial. her letter was dismissed and admonished by the judge. she wasn't a witness, wasn't scheduled to testify, nothing.
3. she died at the hospital. police got a call about a suicide attempt, emphasis on "attempt". i'm sure police by now know who placed the call, whether it was the detective herself, friend, neighbor, since it's been investigated from the beginning as a suicide by LAPD.
