Most of the teams have employees that keep track of the forums. They use this to try to stop leaks, but also use it to judge fan reaction when it comes to trades/draft picks. They might throw out a few trade ideas and see what fans think about it, also helps gauge the interest by fans that are more in the know than just regular casual fans. Not saying that it is the final judgement, but it does play a factor.

Never was i a fan of Bledsoe's style of play, but replacing him with even more flawed guy, while ignoring what i wrote above is plain bad move to me. If we really want a fresh start and if we're ready to move on from Bled, we should look no further from this draft class.

You bring in a guy who is looking first to distribute and can control the chaos that we have seen on the floor. What would be better for developing the youth that to have that type of PG. You give the RAW talent we have the opportunity to get baskets on the floor without them having to constantly create their own shots.
Rubio is no older than Bledsoe, makes no less money, and is under contract for the same amount of time. IMO guys like Chriss/Bender will develop faster, Booker will be the primary scorer, and Ulis will have a better mentor. And if anything Rubio will still have the same value as Bledsoe in a year, which will allow a drafted PG to take over when he gets traded for some asset.

I'm not saying Rubio is the answer but you always take the sure thing (if the player is relatively young as well) over the risky rookie every time unless the rookie is a sure thing like Anthony Davis, John Wall or KAT or something like that.
There's no players in this draft who look like that even though some may still pan out very well. Plus we can get screwed in the lottery even if we end up with the best odds.

Hire me. My job is no fun. I'll take a pay cut.

Did you recommend drafting Len too?

lol naw. I wasn't disappointed by the pick, but, like last year, I didn't have a clear selection at our draft spot.
There is some Internet Nostradamus I've heard referenced who said we should take Gobert at 5. I'd buy that person a beer.

Gobert was pretty popular among fans from what I can remember. Most here wanted Noel or McLemore. I was fine with Len given the belief with Noel's knees. Gobert clearly wins the battle of that group, but if Len truly just focuses on getting rebounds and defense, with only shooting wide open jumpers and putbacks on offense, there's no real reason he can't still become something valuable rather soon. I think a lot of the problem is he's trying to do too much on offense. He should be in a simplified role like Adams is with OKC.

*edit* on second thought, I don't want to give up our tank commander right now.
