This team is not a good 3pt shooting team!!!!!!! So many possessions lost to bad shooting...
These guys don't fit the system.....
Kenny needs to get over it or....no, he needs to get over it. No business elsewhere....these guys need to do more than throw the ball from behind the arc...
Watching this, the C's play Kenny's system better than the nets did
I agree, but the Nets are also not a good penetrating team. It comes down to a lack of talent.
Celtics have guys like Horford, Smart, Bradley, Crowder who can close out and recover faster than our perimeter guys which allows them to cheat more on defensive and permits much greater margin for error. And of course they shot the 3 much better last night but a ton of those open looks from 3 in he 4th last night were from good penetration and taking advantage of our slower defense.
When the Nets run similar plays it resulted in semi-contested 3s, often by our big men who aren't as accurate off a rushed release as opposed to Crowder or IT shooting an open shot
The Nets once again were out-scored in the 3rd quarter and the casual fan would likely think we were thoroughly outplayed. In reality the Nets kept up with the Celtics all the way up until the 4 minute mark (where BKN was down by only 3) and -1 for the quarter.
But from 4 minutes up until end of quarter the Nets let the Celtics score 13 points. There were almost no deflections or activity on defense and the offense unfortunately stalled as well. Just tired legs that couldn't keep up and pushing a much faster pace I didn't really think helped the situation.
The one thing KA can harp on are the mental mistakes made in the 1st quarter. Really sloppy passes and inboarding.
At least we didn't give up over 120+ points.
