he's a very impressive kid. He recognizes his mistakes, has an idea of what is going on around him and has the NBA body that can go up against the best in the league. Hearing him say he took a gamble and happened to make a play on that steal, but that it was a gamble that could very well have gone very wrong, makes me think Stevens had a discussion about it and maybe that's why we were seeing him play much less afterwards.
In SL he mentioned that he initially was tentative because he expected it to be harder but after a couple of games if you remember, he realized he could get to the rim and finish against anyone. That confidence to just go and do it, is what is holding him back. If Crowder went out with a season ending injury, he'd step up and do it. I'm hoping it doesn't take an injury for him to let loose.
