See, I see that Brooklyn pick landing in the top 3 is a *best* case scenario. When Lin gets back, they're going to win some games.

Kilpatrick has proven to be a better pg, Lin also has a problem trailing off as the season goes on. I think people put too much stock in Lin.

he's a very impressive kid. He recognizes his mistakes, has an idea of what is going on around him and has the NBA body that can go up against the best in the league. Hearing him say he took a gamble and happened to make a play on that steal, but that it was a gamble that could very well have gone very wrong, makes me think Stevens had a discussion about it and maybe that's why we were seeing him play much less afterwards.

In SL he mentioned that he initially was tentative because he expected it to be harder but after a couple of games if you remember, he realized he could get to the rim and finish against anyone. That confidence to just go and do it, is what is holding him back. If Crowder went out with a season ending injury, he'd step up and do it. I'm hoping it doesn't take an injury for him to let loose.

Solid game by Brown. Those couple of mistakes at the end of the first half could be costly against better teams in more competitive games, but this was a good opponent for him to get the extended minutes; especially with IT out.

Individually, he can hold his own when isolated on defense. I think team defense is an area where he still needs to improve.

Pretty sure that's a common theme with almost all rookies. NBA defence is a lot different to what goes on at the high school and collegiate level. Even KAT looked pretty bad at times last year team defence wise, despite being pretty good individually.

Jaylen gave us glimpses last night. Very intriguing and I hope he develops into what he is capable of.

I agree with that. There are very few players who completely lack the ability to learn to play decent team defense, and they tend to develop those skills most rapidly in their first two or three years of experience playing NBA basketball. Not to say that every player has the potential to become a KG or Artest who can change the flow of defense by cutting off opportunities off the ball, but generally when a player who has been in the league for more than a couple years is still a major weak link on defense, it seems like it is more often to do with deficiencies in height or conditioning or coordination than it is to do with not knowing where to stand or completely losing track of his man. As a fan, I don't see any reason to panic if a rookie struggles figuring out rotations and positioning on defense. That will come with experience.

Can the kid wear a pair of man's shorts? He looks like a tool out there with those nut huggers.

Yesterday
I think it's sad that we are so starved for good Jaylen Brown news that we get excited when he plays 10 minutes. I keep hearing about his upside and him being raw and we need patience. Meanwhile, the YOUNGER (still 19 friggen y/o!!!) Jamal Murray has scored 19 pts or more (Brown career high he's reached once against CLE) five times, is stealing starter minutes from Mudiay (who scored 30 against us) and slowly but surely is becoming a leader on that team. He was Rookie of the Month along with Embid, and it'll probably be that way for the rest of the year just like KAT/Porzingod last year. Thanks Danny!

Clearly you have a really big screen t.v., lingering a bit too long on the pause button perhaps?

Fact: Two of Brown's biggest dunks this season have been assisted by no other than Tyler Zeller. (the other dunk was against Lebron)

That Jaylen dunk reminds me a lot of Pierce on Mihm:

Jaylen brings new meaning to the term "3 and D" -- his offense consists entirely of 3's and dunks.

I don't give a rats ass what Jaylen Brown wears as long as he performs on the basketball court
