I think Jah has really improved his trade value immensely this season. He looks somewhat passable as a defender and we already know he's solid on offense.
He obviously doesn't make much sense with embiid patrolling the paint . And he makes zero sense to pair with Simmons who looks like a young LeBron as far as his penetration and passing ability.
Embiid/Simmons is nasty as a pick n roll if Simmons ever develops a shot but until then teams will just go under the screen.
Thankfully he doesn't look like he needs a screen he can just go turbocharging into the lane. You surround this guy with shooters obviously which saric, covington, and embiid all are. And stauskas possibly (MAN THAT KINGS TRADE LOOKS EVEN WORSE NOW)
As such, Okafor is the odd man out.
While he's young, uninjured, and on a great rookie contract I'd try to move him for someone who actually fits the roster but I can see keeping him one more year for insurance vs embiid if you don't wanna pay nerlens the max or darn close to it. (Face it he's getting it just look at mozgov, Noah, Plumlee deals for reference)
Trading out the rather weak PG play of Rodriguez OR leaving him on the floor as more of a catch and shoot player will be a huge net benefit for Philly.
Given the cap space and talent on this team I think Philly is a playoff team or darn close (35-41 wins) NEXT YEAR. The bottom of the east is quite competitive but they are fairly capped out with aging rosters.
I also think coleangelo will make some dumb signings that will move them closer to treadmill than championship aspirations.
Those draft picks are killer though. Long live hinkie
