Amazing how the Celtics are over .500 when all their players are so bad and everyone else's players are so good

It's an odd strategy to have a guy on the block and then start giving him DNPs.

He's already shown his worth, they don't want to get him injured. Noel is also in the same position.

They're not playing Noel because they are trying to showcase Okafor to move him, but that's JMO.

We need to know what we have in him so we can keep building accordingly. I mean a better question is why wouldn't you want him to develop quicker?
We're not talking about relying on him as a starter, but I think it's reasonable to expect the #3 pick to be able to run with your 2nd unit during his rookie year even if you're a playoff team, without it being a disaster and with him getting better as time goes on. I mean obviously we'd be better off with Gay or a similar level vet taking on that role instead, but that's just in the short term. Long term we'd be much better suited to have Brown take on that duty and develop, despite the inevitable miscues that he'll make as a rookie.
This team isn't winning a championship this year barring a trade that brings in a name much bigger than Rudy Gay, so it behooves us to think longer term and in that lens Brown is clearly a better option at that wing spot with our 2nd unit.
It's a big difference between someone 23 years old and 4 years of college rather than a 19 year old who is one of the youngest players in the game. If you overload him early and throw him in the fire its unpresidented. KG Kobe TMac all never received 20-25 minutes a night. Bring him along slowly. He's not ready and you see it the majority of the time on the court. But he shows flashes here and there which speaks well to his long term value.
No it's not.
KG got 29 mins a game his rookie year, Tracy got 18 a game, Kobe got 15.5 a game, John Wall averaged over 30, Rose averaged over 30, KAT averaged over 30, KD over 30, Irving over 30, Melo over 30. Giannis averaged 25, Howard averaged over 30, Devin Booker averaged 27, Jamal Murray is averaging 20, Ingram is averaging 27.
I don't know what you're talking about. All those guys are one and done or straight from highschool and averaged 20 a game other than TMAC and Kobe. It's totally not unprecedented to give a young kid 20-25 minutes. Heck the only time KG averaged under 20 a game in his ENTIRE career was his final year when he was 40.
Most of those guys weren't on playoff teams, but to suggest it'd hurt their development seems like a stretch. Really you just run the risk of losing a couple games because he's not ready, I acknowledge that, but again you gotta look at it long-term.

I hope that Cuban is realising its time to tank now for the Mavs. Just send the vets like Dirk to a team where he can fight for another ring and start the tank.
What would it cost us to get Bogut?

Crowder, Brown, Rozier, KO, zizic, yabs 2017 Brooklyn pick, 2018 Brooklyn pick, Memphis pick and they have to at least think about it right?
Sign Griffin.
