One obvious adjustment would've been to play wall Beal Oubre Porter Gortat, but Brooks decided Marcus Thornton was the answer. Thornton played almost 13 straight minutes LOL.
Wall played 37 minutes
Gortat played 40
Beal played 35 coming off an ankle injury
Oubre played 23 minutes without scoring a point.
Porter played 33 minutes and was off
Someone else from the bench had to play. Brooks doesn't have any good choices to back up Beal.
With a few minutes left in the 2nd quarter, I could see the Wiz energy took a dive - particularly Wall - who was playing great until then. It was obvious in the way he was moving that he needed a break. They need to find ways to play without Wall and give him regular breaks. And Oubre has been pretty bad ever since he came back from the concussion.
Kelly's D on harden kept us in the game. Thornton had no business being on the court. Thornton hasn't collected a single DNP all year, how are we not blaming Brooks for that at all lol
It's Marcus **** Thornton
