That's a serious overpay.
These Imo would be the only prospects off the table I like Morrow and think hes part of the future here. Clement Man this guy could be something real special and worst case he's Varitek in the making we made that mistake once upon a time. I would love the D-train but not at the cost of Clement or Morrow.Bay_Areas_Finest wrote:I noticed a couple posters asking for ATLEAST Clement and Morrow.
No f'n way.
Well, the end of 150 years of professional baseball was set in motion Friday. It's all over.
At least that's the view of Florida Marlins president David Samson, who this week said of Ichiro Suzuki's extension with the Mariners: "It'll take the sport down, that contract." He also called it "the end of the world as we know it.
"It doesn't look like baseball's king of hyperbole will be getting a Christmas card from Mariners general manager Bill Bavasi. As for any thoughts of Seattle acquiring Dontrelle Willis for the stretch run, you can probably scratch that, too.
"My mother always taught me that if the only thing you have to say is, '(Expletive) Dave Samson,' then don't say anything at all," Bavasi said Thursday. "So I'm not going to say anything at all. Is my mother the greatest or what?"
