Here's a counter offer. Rondo, Portis, Grant for Kemba Walker.

He's awesome and if you don't know just say so and do some research.
He's been really good lately.
He was really good last year, but for some reason Nuggets decided to bring him off the bench this year.

And you will likely need another better player on that team, guard/wing perimeter player to get Jokic be really effective player. Towns, Zingis and Embiid all have special talent for instance to be 1st options. I dont see Jokic being that ever if you want to see team going anywhere.
Denver runs their entire offense through him now. He's definitely 1st option good. He doesn't just put up numbers he's efficient and is a phenomenal passer.
He's ridonkulous.
I know they do. I watched Nuggets against Kings other night. Guy has some balls to head to head with Cousins. I like him, I would want to have him, but not to extent of giving Jimmy away. If he is available for "right price" sure.

Wouldn't it be simpler for them to just resign?
The Bulls chose Gar over a great coach (Thibs). Now it appears they will choose Gar over a great player.

Not really. The rumored price for him was pretty absurd around the draft. We also like Avery Bradley a lot too. Jimmy would certainly be an upgrade but he isn't enough alone to get us into top tier.
If it's something like Bradley and one of the Brooklyn picks plus lesser assets for him sure. Then we still have enough to try and make a trade for cousins. But if it's both Brooklyn picks plus multiple core players. Then I don't think we find a deal.
My goodness...I know Boston has more assets than most playoff teams. But, other teams especially a team in a big city like Chicago is not your farm system however incompetent the Bulls FO might be. The Bulls, Knicks do not lose star players easily even when they are incompetent. Those players know other than the big market extra dollars, there is a good chance of attracting other good players unlike a Sacramento. They will stick around until the very end unless the team decides to dump them or some other rift happens.
About Sacramento type teams....they are also smarter now to not give away a Cousins for assets left over after a Butler type trade. They are angling for a playoff run and Vivek has money up the wazoo to spend. The worst thing about a bad FO like that is ...once they know they have a good player in hand, they will squeeze every ounce of your juice.
Bradley is a nice player but if it is just Bradley and a pick/useless assets, I am sure the Bulls are not trading Butler or Sacramento is trading Cousins. If the Bulls are trading Butler or Kings are trading Cousins, I would think Boston has to lose multiple picks almost similar to how much Brooklyn gave Boston. And, Butler/Cousins are in their prime/far superior players at this point to what Brooklyn got from Boston. The market will dictate that the quality of Butler/Cousins is far more important that multiple 18 year olds.

I don't know why you're doing this to yourself. You'll regret this. Jokic is unbelievable. A freak.
