This is exactly what I was thinking...for some reason, "Dirty Dinana" popped into my head with that head shimmy.

I thought Jackson right away too. The song was on in the arena at some point, so it's possible Jimmy was doing an MJ on purpose

Alright, Jimmy.

Make your statement against Westbrook.

And let the trade rumors fly... rumors to make a trade that will solidify building around Jimmy.

We really need one good trade to bring in someone to help Jimmy. Don't know what it is. But man, we need some pieces. Aaaggggh so frustrating seeing this and knowing we're still a mediocre team at best. Bittersweet

Instead of salivating over draft picks we need to use our draft picks to get players that can help now.

If the Kings keep it up we should have 2 quality picks to bundle this summer.

Please..no bundling of draft picks to get a young kid. Either draft two young kids and let them be the 14th and 15th players without pressure to perform or use them to get proven vets.

Yeah Jimmy is really covering up what is a bad, bad team.

Something really being overlooked because of Jimmy is that Dwyane Wade after his hot start to the season is basically turning into the shooting guard version of Derrick Rose. His TS% last month was .502. And he's signed for another year at $24million.

But unlike Derrick, Wade is a leader to our team and is a mentor to our superstar. Money well spent. Jimmy needed a guy like that to come in and let everyone else know how good he is. No one would listen until Wade got here.

Seriously, I NEVER go to any other boards during the basketball season. Except when we beat the Toronto Raptors. I immediatly go to their post game thread. Nothing brings me greater happiness.

Except I missed this game!! Pro tip, bring your girl to Pinots Pallet for a date. Or buy them a gift certificate for their mom and them. Seriously, place was a blast.

As of now:

Bulls offensive rating: 104.5 (18th)
Butler on: 107 (would be 9th best)
Butler off: 96.4 (would be 30th, considerably worse than the Sixers at 98.6)

Bulls defensive rating: 104.4 (12th)
Butler on: 103.3 (would be 5th best)
Butler off: 108.2 (would be 26th)

So yes, Butler is covering up what without him would be a bottom 3 team. He's been amazing this season.

It's obviously hard to theorize this now but if Internet forus existed back before we got Pippen and the rest of the pieces around MJ do you think people would have been claiming that Jordan wasnt good enough to lead us to a title?

Is it just the convenience of us all now having a podium and 24/7 access to all thinks Basketball?

The biggest thing that Jimmy needs to prove is can he find ways to score efficiently against great defenses and individual defenders? Everytime he goes up against the likes of Kawhi Leonard and the Greek Freak he just doesn't look like he's in their same class at times. I think part of the problem is the roster. It's easier to hone in on guys when you aren't scared of anybody else.

In general, you are correct. Jimmy is probably not a "best player on a title team" type superstar.

Let's just be honest though. There have been 20 or so humans in history who fit that bill at their very peak. That's the bar you are setting. Guys like GA, KAT, etc. aren't it either. Unless you have a good plan for getting the next Lebron, Kobe, MJ, etc. then what do you do?

Jimmy is a classic second tier guy. Those guys generally only win with a great roster around them and fantastic coaching.

Whatever people want to label him, to me it's a pretty obvious and basic point that he's part of the solution, not part of the problem. I think people sometimes take the notion that because someone's a "classic second tier guy," that you can't build a winner with him/because of him, and so you need to get rid of him so you can find a "classic first tier guy" (ie top 20 all time player), which is just ridiculous imo. I'm less concerned about what level of star one wants to label him, I''m content to know he's a friggin beast.

I don't disagree, although I would include Westbrook, Harden and Leonard in that conversation with Curry, Durant, and Lebron. Chris Paul and Anthony Davis I think a case could be made as well, even though neither of them have had much playoff success.

I think the word "Superstar" is definitely thrown around a little too loosely, in my opinion. There are only a small handful of players that fit that category every year. Guys like Lebron and MJ are in a category all by themselves, whatever that one would be.

Cavs trade their 1st rounders, because they know rookies and young players aren't going to help you win or compete for titles.

Not saying Bulls FO needs to go crazy with trading first rounders, but they need to get more established vets.

I saw growth in Wade tonight. He was just handing of the ball to Jimmy in the back-court..no more trying to be any option. He tried to score only when he couldn't see Jimmy when he looked around.

Wade is a smart guy and knows Jimmy is developing into a superstar. It looks like he's being a true mentor to Jimmy.

Yeeeeaaah…I think I'd rather just have a guy who can consistently put up an efficient 20 points. Or a mobile center who can defend inside and out. Or maybe a point guard that isn't complete trash.
