I don't mean that he is in peak form endurance wise. I mean that he is in peak form in terms of muscle to fat ratio, and total weight. When he was trying to lose weight the extra sugar was counterproductive. Also, let's not forget that most of these guys drink alcohol, and Joel doesn't. He is still on the positive end of the spectrum when it comes to drinks overall.
Also I don't see any stamina problems with him other than general issues ramping up his basketball fitness which is to be expected. He has no problems playing at a high energy level for all of the 28 minutes that he is allowed to play.
His legs are still improving week to week, or at least month to month.
